This is the corallary thread to the Pickup Group Nightmare thread. Gotta celebrate the good stuff.

First ever rescue mission. Completed in 45 minutes with a slightly funky group: 2 sk's, rogue, beastlord, druid (Scirocco, in fact!), and a bard. Couldn't believe the damage output. Never would've thought this group could be so damaging! The fights were lasting 15-30 seconds, sometimes less. The bard was spot-on with having a mob in camp almost all the time. We were moving so fast we didn't even have time to chit chat, which is a shame, probably would've been fun conversation.

Two great missions in Guk last night with guildmates and me boxing my cleric. Was fun to get back into the 2-boxing, and really a lot less stressful than having a bad cleric along.

I'll list the same experience from last night I posted in the other thread. Me(druid), another druid, chanter, beast, ranger, and SK doing a slaughter dungeon. Had like 6 mobs in the camp which took a while to lock down because the chanter's charmed pet broke right as they arrived. Only the beast was killed(both druids were getting beat on at the time I believe, at least I know I was). We went on to success from there.

Another time was night before last(I think I also mentioned this one in another thread). Me, three rangers, paladin, and chanter. Now that group took some healing. Ran lower on mana than ever before but pulled it off with time to spare. One death in this one too but only because of a bad pull where the puller was oor. I ran up and did manage to get one heal off but at that point it was a fait accompli.

These were guild groups though so I'm not sure they count. Just wanted to post some of my more recent 'good' experiences in LDoN. Still having fun with it here. :)

I like things to be slightly out of control. So doing Guk with 2 rangers, beastlord, cleric, rogue and tank really fits the bill when you got 3 in camp and 2 adds. I'd heal someone with my cleric, boing, they'd be knocking her up (so to speak). Then the tank would notice it and go over and taunt them off (god bless attentive tanks!). Ranger's root parking, beastlord slowing. Good stuff, good stuff.

Most unorthodox group I've been part of to date in an LDoN dungeon is Me, another druid, necromancer, cleric wizard and an enchanter. We just ping ponged the mobs. :) We would have made it but initially they were letting the Necro pet tank and I was spending WAY too much mana on the heals. Even with that bad start we only finished a few minutes after the scheduled time.

You're just jealous cause I got to group her and you can't. I have to warn you, Panamah demands top performance...:)

That rescue mission actually was an accident. The group leader thought it was an assassination quest when he accepted it.

Anyway, she's right. Very fast kill rate in that group. No ingame map, but I was able to make some intelligent guesses from a "hard copy." I started off using annul to remove the DS from the druid types, but after watching the mobs die so quickly, I figured it was faster to nuke 'em down. I ended up able to use most of my mana for nuking (I got some nice crits with WF), and did very little healing. My kind of group!

As I tell my guildmates, if you kill a mob in 30 seconds instead of 60 seconds, it's the same as a 50% slow...:)

I'm definitely going to have to get a screen shot of those caster mobs kneeling in front of the MT....

LDoN is sexy!

Was in a MM Raid last night, 5 balanced groups. Monks trained 3 red con werewolves down on us. If you've never fought these raid level werewolves ... Imagine flurry drakes that hit for 1000.

Somehow our warriors and knights got control of the situation. Heals were flying left and right. Mobs were slowed and debuffed quickly. Nukes came out of nowhere to drop mobs fast. In the end, we lost an enchanter and the pulling SK but the rest of the raid survived.

When your group's 10khp warrior blinks and asks how the devil the group survived, it makes you feel really good.

Nothing wrong with my performance.......

And hell yes I'm jealous that you got to group with her. I was in tells with her cross-server while you guys were grouped.

Only had one LDoN group so far, but they were spot on. All friendly, efficient and attentive.

I think a great help was that unlike generic "pickup groups" I've known in the past, we managed to agree looting rules (master), assigned a main assist/puller and defined the roles of each member (e.g. who were main healers, etc) before even setting foot inside.

In particular master loot was a good idea IMO. There's always the small risk of the master running off, but in a time limited zone it makes a lot more sense than the usual "everyone scrambles for their share when they could be medding / moving on"

As it happens, they didn't really stop. I think we had a 2 minute med break when members needed to answer calls of nature (and things were starting to look a little close due to low mana high action), but otherwise it was constant.

We wiped out the entire zone including named before the timer (more spawned after tracking list was emptied though) and made decent cash in the process. Lots of experience was grabbed - I gained almost half of level 43!

A couple of us died in an explosion (someone accidentally nudged a box we thought - got a 25% res) but the performance otherwise and fast XP was so good it didn't bother me at all.

Nice bunch, hope to see em again.
