I asked 2 questions

1. Where there going to be any hints dropped for druids since shamans had one. Answer was:

We dont think your stuck enough yet.

2. Can guild tribute be able to be turned on from the windows instead of goin to PoK everytime. Answer was:

Not currently because you can exploit the system by turning off right before the 10 minute mark and not getting charged. POssible change in the future however.

The chat Logs were posted on EQ Stratics Site. The main focus of this weeks chat was Backflagging and the AA revamp.

Some of the highlights:

*Kryttos-Saryrn* - Are there any plans to release any hints for the druid epic 2.0 similiar to what you did for Shaman?

Maddoc - We are keeping an eye on the progress that each of the classes are making with the Epic 2.0’s and will make adjustments if we feel it is necessary. We aren’t at a point where we expect the epic 2.0’s to be complete yet. We aren’t overly concerned with player-progress / being stuck quite yet.

*Loral* What are these strange new summon spells we see on that accursed Lucy? The level 20 ones with the diety names.

Rashere - It's a secret that you'll have to wait and learn for yourself.

*Daemonwynd* - The Top Ten Lists for each class were a good idea. However a common complaint across players of all classes is that the lists have remained essentially unchanged from update to update, with a "currently being discussed" or "currently under evalutation" staying on many of them for months at a time. Is there any possibility to getting more substantive updates on these lists, from update to update?

Rashere - Daemon, the top 10 lists are community driven. They're not necessarily all going to be implemented, but we do work with the community reps to update those lists when we can. A lot of the changes have the potential to send ripples throughout the game and the overall impact has to be very closely evaluated before any changes are made.

I think the highlight of the Chat had to be when they asked people to keep their questions only about the Backflagging change and the AA Refund.

And then didn't have the numbers with them.

That's quality! "Please only ask about the new AA refund. But no specifics, please!!"

I disagree occasionally you will catch a Dev who will give you a straight answer. Considering they are working with 5 year old code in some cases, and trying to keep ahead of the superuber, I am estatic on the rare occasion where someone even says "Yeah we saw it to, we ain't got the foggiest idea of why it's happening, but we're trying to find it."

They are not cirppled by old code....it's the poor management.

I remember when M59 was dieing. The coders were replaced every few months. M59 was the dirty project for 3DO. The coders that picked it up loved the game and the community and were able to make many good changes and even pick up code and add expansions to the existing code without an previous knowledge, but it was the 3Do management that killed the game. They removed the last coder and said "no more resources for you".

I'm sure the EQ developers love the game and know the code or they'd quit and go do something else. The developers won't kill the game. Only the SOE management can kill the game and most liekly will through mis-management.
