I've been inactive on EQ for some time, mostly due to the bottleneck in the 50s that meant playing my druid was tedious and unfulfilling.
What I mean, is that at lower levels, when the game was young, people improvised when necessary - druids becoming healers, or blasters, or buffers. But when you hit the 50s, after the first level cap raise, people's roles were pretty well defined and the game became quite formulaic.
Anyway, I'm playing EQ1 again and just bought EQ2. I dimly recall a major schism that happened a couple years ago when some gold-digger was buying up EQ class message boards in order to advertise his EBay characters, and that the old old Druid's Grove on which I was a regular poster had split off to a different location.
Which of those boards is this one?
I started playing EQ2 today without having had any experience in beta, so it's brand new to me. I can see a possibility of becoming hooked on this game the way I was with EQ1 in '99. So I'm looking around to find "True Believers" who are good-spirited and can offer useful advice.
Thanks.
