I bought nothing and recieved the same. I got pissed off at work christmas eve and cancelled plans (dinner and gifts) with the family so I could sit at home and drink beer all night and stare at the monitor/tv. I didn't feel like working around everybodies schedule christmas so I turned off the phone and rinse/repeated christmas eve. Still pissed off from the holidays I told work that a family member died (grandmother) and left work early today.
:boohoo:
That about wraps up the last two days for me.

Some verrrrry nice single malt whisky, some socks :P and my personal favourite a DVD of the first series of Little Britain.
(for those that have never seen Little Britain it's the funniest TV program the BBC have produced for decades)

LOL! Actually, I had all the dishes from the cooking I did. I went sort of nuts in the kitchen and cooked like a maniac for 2 days. My sister actually hosted the event... she used paper plates and plastic cutlery! She got off easy!

Santa brought me an entire day with my husband, with not a single relative in sight, spent in our pajamas watching games on tv and playing with our new toys, and basically doing absolutely nothing at all. Santa was kind.

Heh, I got my son for two weeks of uninterupted fun over the Christmas holiday. IE... Two weeks of vacation spent just sporting around with him. I rediscovered the high expense of seeing movies but enjoying a laugh. Took him to the range and shot a 22 and the 9mm for the first time. Gave him his first PC, fishing pole and tacklebox of stuff. I suspect that just getting to spend time with him is the best present I ever got, period.

I got a DVR a few months back and I now can't see how I was ever able to put up with television without it. Being able to pause, rewind, record a series, etc., all make TV more palatable. I also find it easier to sleep at night knowing that my DVR is vigilantly monitoring the TV channels and making sure that not a single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer slips through the cracks.

LOL! I've finally seen all the episodes, thanks to them being out on DvD. First thing I did, was hunt down The Simpsons and Family Guy. I always miss those!

Indeed. It was a blessed day when I received the first disk of the last season from Netflix. There was much rejoicing.

att Groening is a close personal friend of mine so my Simpsons collection has been kept up to date religiously. Just to clarify, "close personal friend" in this context means he went to the same college as I did about a decade before I even knew it existed.

You're killing me here! Actually David Brin and Raymond Fiest are close personal friends of mine.... meaning a friend of mine actually used to play DnD with Ray Fiest in college... or did once anyway. And he knew David Brin! And I know my friend... so I'm like practically famous by proxy!

I can't believe you'd compare your tenuous relationship to Brin and Fiest with the soul-bond I have with Groening.

I recognize all the stuff that my friends and family have done for me so i accepted nothing... while it's hard to believe, it is the truth.
But i guess my real xmas present is that eq2 collectors edition thingie that i won here :D
