I initially played EQ when it was first released about 6 years ago but quit after a few months due to time constraints. I picked it up again about 6 months ago and was wondering if anybody knows any good websites where I can read up on all of the lore/history/storyline that has come into the game after its initial release.

After Velious, there really isn't much of a storyline or lore other than the reused "so-and-so took over this land, you must stop them" bit, but you might check www.everquest.com and go to the different expansions. The websites for each expansion have lore on them if I remember correctly.

The Codex of War (http://www.1stfistoflight.com/html/1fol/everquest/eqcodex/default.htm) has a lot of compiled pre-Luclin lore. The Luclin story is actually pretty cool, but it wasnt finished as they fired that guy before it was done. I also like the PoP story... except the ending that is, which is lame beyond belief.

Luclin had tons of really cool interesting lore. I really wish they would go in and finish it finally.

A whole lot of the Codex of War is junk, and has been confirmed as much by multiple SOE devs. Basically, anything involving War of the Three Crowns or Prophecy of Trakanon is fanfiction and wrong.

Yes I know, but I wouldnt call it junk. Those two stories in particular werent written by anyone at SOE, that's true. I'm also unaware of another site that has a storehouse of all the actual in-game lore.

Is EQ's site for lore discussion; neat stuff and I spend alot of medding time/waiting for crappy groups to get mooving time working on some of the things there (I'm Grinkle).

The EQ storyline hasn't slowed down at all in the past years, but there's been a big change between Luclin and PoP where the game went from the category I call "Old Lore" to "New Lore". In my opinion, the new lore is mostly crap and is only a cheap float to hold up SoE's rushing of expansions, but the old lore is good stuff. My goal right now is to make sure the new lore and old lore stay mtached up and true to eachother, which is pretty tuff now...things are just sorta falling apart. Everything must have a firm base of proof behind it nowadays or it can lead down a big long path of false theories (I do that alot).

But anyways, yeah, old lore at least is good.
