i went to WL to kill Wuoshi and i had brought a level 70 cleric to help. i had already found the black model unicorn to dire charm and figured i would let it tank and the cleric heal it. on the way back to the ring the unicorn feared a panther and aggrod one of those giant heralds so i had to gate and dire charm was blown. so i gate back to pick up the cleric and his hps were going down. i run around to see him tanking Wuoshi. i tried casting DDs DoTs ensnare but everything was resisted so i tossed wrath of the wild on the cleric and thorns him and popped off spirit of the wood3 just because it was up. he told me that his hammer of hours procs basically killed it. he also said the reverse damage shield helped. i tossed him a few heals and eventually started swinging on him once he went in flee mode. i resisted most of his stun AoEs but he feared me at least a dozen times. i asked him what his AC was and he said 1600 something i cant remember exactly. that was the coolest thing i've seen in a long time.

Isn't Wuoshi one of the mobs you can only cast on in melee range?

Yes. All kunark and velious dragons are like that (and vox/naggy too, but most people can't fight them anymore).

I soloed Wuoshi down to about 65% once. If your resists are high enough, you'll resist nearly everything she tosses at you. After a while though, she starts meleeing and it can hurt if you don't have a healer nearby.

derail, is there any trick to finding the black unicorn model? I charmed it like a year ago when I spotted it and was working on my coldain shawl quest but have never seen it since.

i usually run through the woods to where the named unicorn Lady something? is on the map and there are usually at least 1 black modeled unicorn there. i used to be able to track them as they were higher level than the other unicorns but since i got level 68 every unicorn is green.

wuoshi was soloable a year ago, zlandicar is almost challenging :p

Remeber the era these dragons were in. Wuoshi came out with the Veliuos expansion. How many ago was that? 5? lol What have we attained since then? We can level to 70, the cap at the time was 60. Not to mention massive equipment upgrades and tons of defensive AA's were made available since then.

Ah the good old days... I fondly remember the time my whole raid was squashed between an aborted King Tormax attempt on one side and someone training Wuoshi on the other... think we crashed Wakening Lands a couple times that night!

I remember duo'ing woushi with a 65 time monk once, I was stunned/feared almost the entire fight but the monk tanked it like nothing.

i dont recall wuoshi dispelling just fear and dots. anyways that same cleric and i have duo'd wuoshi at least 3 times together.

gore sev tal wunshi been soloing a long time. can almost solo zlandi usually take a monk or another healer class if you can get a rat near zlandi and root it then use hungry vines it helps alot the dmg midigation and the ds rule. 2k ac on older world stuff helps. The loot is crap anymore but still fun to kill them now and then. zlandi and tali only to really worth killing for loot.
