I thought there was a line command for stopping casting on a mount, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is. I know it is not /stopcast (or at least it does not work atm), so does anyone know what it may be please?

Only way to stop casting on a mount is to dismount and move/sit/etc.


Last I heard it was considered a balance feature for the mounts mana regen.

What it truly is is a pain in the arse. I suppose they have a point, but making so he have to stop and forage (which makes sense really, because how can you see what is on the ground from a mount? - though I would love to be able to) as well as dismounting and mounting again, really stinks.

I don't really see the point in needing to dismount to stop casting... or maybe I don't want to see the point cause it really is a pain ;)

When the horse nerf went in (that being, you could no longer summon them when using old models and thus avoid losing the ability to duck/interrupt casting) there was much anger about this. We were eventually told by Absor, basically, "tough $*#)" and to be thankful we get any bonus mana regen at all, since horses were only ever meant as a transportation aid.

Yep, Sitting speed mana regen while mounted was a "bug" that they didn't think of. Since the time mounts went live they considered "fixing" it but decided to leave it at the cost of not being able to interupt (via stopcast or ducking) while mounted.

Make a 'social' key.
/dismount
/stopcast or /duck (i think)

Put it in your hotkey slot and map it to your keyboard if you like OR just use it from the socials page. it works all the time and makes no difference if your mounted or not. If you were on a mount then you just need to recast your horse/drog when your done, otherwise it wont affect you.

Unless they changed it recently, you couldnt use a social while casting.

Yep Tiane, I have heard of a few guildies trying the hotkey social. You can /dismnount though, so it *is* a social, but not a hotbutton.

Why can't we reach over and pick berries from a bush while on a mount? Not all food is on the ground. lol
