Fenmarel the Banisher

Recently I have been playing the game Dawn of War. It's a RTS based on the popular table top minatures game Warhammer 40K.
It's a pretty standard RTS. Collect resources, build troops and structures, research technologies and bum rush your opponents for the win.
The game has 4 main races Space Marines: Devoted Human servants of the Emporer of mankind, Chaos Marines: Traitorous Human servants of Chaos, Orks: Agressive warmongers who live only to fight and, Eldar: Space Elves who prance around and use psychic powers to destroy all the other races (they are the Druids if DoW).
There is a solo game but, the computer AI sucks really bad. Even on the hardest level it has no tactics.
Online play is fast and furious. Gamespy hosts a battle matching system and you can play 1v1 matches all the way to 4v4 battle royals. The human apponents range from total noobs like me to insanely fast veterans.
The people who play best at this game are those that know how to micro manage their troops the best. A skill "micro" player can have a huge leg up on their competition.
All in all I am having some fun playing this game but, it may not be for everyone. I'm a really big fan of the Table top game it's based on. Even though I'm not that great my goal is to practice and get better.
