View Full Forums : Will these server merges hurt the Druid Class?

Just wondering your thoughts.

Pluses:

1. More people will bring the servers back to life again.
2. More people = more groups = more grouping opportunities.
3. More opportunities to backflag - maybe.

Minuses:

1. Most people still lack their OOW runes so more people crammed in same zones
2. More people = more competition for spots druids got only because the better classes were not available
3. Guilds "may" be able to once again "lock" out secondary classes as they have more of the elite classes to choose from.

My thought is that Druids often gets groups and spots now due to the lack of the more desired classes. This will be great for the prime classes but secondary classes, I fear, will suffer.

Will the proposed fix to the Druids Class help us enough to allow us to compete with the prime classes? I don't know but the one thing that really stands as a HUGE downside is the drop rate for OOW runes. Right now they are very scarce - so scarce that many level 70's still are missing half their spells. Now double the number of people looking for the same runes... ACK!

Any thoughts on this? Am I crying wolf for no reason? I sure hope so :)

I think people will get groups more often. Most of us need a group to farm the runes we'd like so more people is a good thing to me.

On Brell open Elemental raids are dead, and it looks like there's actually guilds that are working towards Time on Cazic, so this will be a great thing for the players who have been 'stranded' between RZ and Time, but didn't want to app to raiding guild that had left Time already.

I can think of at least 3 or 4 guilds working toward time, on Cazic, tho realistically only maybe 2 of them will see it in the next 3-4 months unless they get more of the classes they need and work out strats for Xegony, Rathe and Cornaiv.
