The Jester can be used for boring down times too. Our group was waiting for an event to spawn and it appeared it was going to take close to an hour. I don't think anyone wanted to wait but we did. After 15 min into the down time I activated my Jester and when he poofed we had two more activate theirs. It made the time go fast and we had a blast.

I popped mine on an Anguish clear. Boy did it screw with the MA. Maybe it caused a couple of deaths but seeing me as a female snake probably made it worth it to the guild. =)

Half our raid the other night in CoA looked like mobs or BB, last night we had someone look like a gnome sized Hanvar.

I can not wait till a guild posts a screenshot of about 30 of those guys running around during a mini/boss mob kill.

I stopped leading open raids the first day the Jester appeared on EQ; just not worth it.

Found the darn thing kind of helpful even. Killed, rezzed, jester filled my mana bar and dropped shield of words on me (hey, I'll take free AC, and 7k mana? thank you). Was dropping supernal elixir on our tank a lot also, which was kind of cool.

Nah, I think you'll find that was the Steadfast Servant, which is definitely useful.

The jester is just a pain if you're not in down time. Having stuff pop up on your cursor randomly, or having your mount dispelled by an illusion is just annoying.

Guys the Jester can drop a 50000 Mana refresh on anyone, my first summoned Jester CH'd my mana bar around 9 times in 15 mins.

Every time you see the emote "You look exhausted" some has just had thier mana bar filled up.

May be an annoyance on raids but 9 replenishes of my mana bar is well well worth it.

Yes, that one is nice :)

But Supernal Elixir and Shield of Words? I thought it was only the Servant that casts player spells - I've also had Swift Like the Wind plus C2 on a lower level char. Not sure if it does C3 or higher as I've always had it on me anyway.

Didn't see anybody pop out the servant, but, I was killed/rezzed at that one point and was watching health bars more than anything, so, is perfectly possible it was a steadfast servant who was tossing around elixir (would be what the descriptions say after all, so, I'm probably wrong, feel free to /bonk me). Course, that brings up the next question, can the steadfast servant be killed by AEs? I'm guessing yes, hoping no.

Someone in PoK yesterday was a dryad, and another was an othmir (this was apparently an FD class and let me tell you, you have not played this game until you see a feigned othmir outside the bank).

We used the Steadfasts on Ture and they were not effected by his AE.

If the jester summons tasty bread or wine for you, you can get the following effects;
http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=6892&source=Live

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=6894&source=Live

However it can also be this;

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=6893&source=Live

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=6895&source=Live

Bascially if the 1st in the stack is detrimental, the whole lot is bad. So destroy it and get a cure. Once you get a stack and it casts the beneficial buff, hang on to it. The wine at least stacks with KEI and SA, so its worth having.

Will the effect of multiple Steadfasts stack? If so, I would imagine it would be beneficial to have anyone who has this AA available, to pop it on a raid boss fight?

I don't see why not. The more of them you have, the more heals they are casting.

Aye I confirm the jester can fill your mana and heal you. No steadfast servants around and I was OOM and in a LDoN that time was about to run out on. Someone called the jester and whammy he filled my mana :heart:

I got turned into one of those Chain mobs in Yxxta that was pretty cool, I took some Screen shots on Neg lol And on my monk in RCOD he was turned into a rock Golem now FD on one of those was good, now If I can just get my monk turned into a goat in Qvic and try to FD with him that would be good :grin:

Might I add the jester got us a train in Qvic and wiped the guild so we kinda called no more jester on raids lol they are kind of annoying and yeah MA's don't like em too much, neither do enchanters and tanks LOL try to beat on your team mate cause it's a mob model :rolling:
