i am about to finish my epic 1.5 next week when my final raid is scheduled.
i have a couple of questions about what to aug in it.

I am a rerolled sk, and my days of tanking and lifetaps are still deeply ingrained in me. However been a druid long enough now to have a 100 aa at 67...

Anyway..here is the question/opinion

1) aug with 2 life tap augs. This is what i would have done if i was still a Sk...with heals, crits on heals and dd...i can see how this would help my tanking old world mobs. This is also what a druid in my guild with hers.

2) aug with 2 DON resists augs..+12 to all..+8 to all ...this is what i am leaning toward. they fit in all slots and they would bring my resists to over 300 in all categories.

The druid in my guild thinks that this is a waste of the only slot 4 type i have...but i never tank with my druid. I own a giant drog and if you hit the 'attack' key on drog/horse you don't get mana regen for 'sitting,' so it wouldn't help on a drog.

Druids do not have the same attack as sks, nor Weapon affinity, so counting on procs in a fight is not really worth it.

What do you think? i am almost entierly elmental gear with all the VP quests to give you an idea.

Mana or HP augs for the type 8 (it is 8 isnt it?) and whatever makes you happy for the type 4. I went with the stun aug for my type 4. But its not like I ever melee anyway.

Hp and/or manna aug for both slots. I believe there's an aug that drops from named in tipt (30/30/30 maybe?) thats slot 4. I have slot 4 still open waiting on me to win that drop.

It's interesting you should bring this up since I've been thinking about some mellee type augs and whether I want them. I'm thinking I do - I'm just gonna put it on my HoH. I just haven't decided whether I want a stun or a dd proc aug (I'll likely go with dd) for when I break out the smackin stick (like in trial of weaponry).

Imo - you maximize the benifit from your aug's if you go with HP/Manna on your main equipment. Anything else will just receive marginal use.

Gem of Bolstered Power from Tipt is +30/30. Tho you could easily go with any of the increasingly common *60/60/60 augs, such as out of The Nest.

I use a melee aug, LDoN EC, 150 DR aug on my Hammer of Hours. Its the only melee aug I use, and unless I plan to aug a 1hs weapon, the only one I'll purchase.

As the Druid Epic 1.5 storyline is all about curing a desease...AND the Staff has NO desease resists, I put a couple of resist augs into mine.

One would think this fine item would HAVE some save vs desease, but it appears to be missing. Therefor I have to use a prescious aug slot to cover the loss.
