You mean like:

Page2Button1Name=Snare
Page2Button1Color=0
Page2Button1Line1=/cast 2
Page2Button1Line2=/gsay What do you MEAN that's not the mob we're after? It is NOW cause it's SNARED!

:P

Page 1:

1: blast heal macro
2: CH macro
3: sit
4: tacvi hammer
5: innate camo
6: orb of clinging death
7: /assist
8: last inventory slot (usually mod rod)
9: resplendent cure
0: tracking

page 2 is mostly the same, except:
3: mount
4: dismount
9: sotw

page 3 contains semi-used things such as MGB and leadership aa's

page 4 has veteran AA's

and exodus is on page 0, slot 0. It's also the only thing on page 0. This way not only do I never accidentally set it off, but I dont have to fumble around to evac... I just hit shift+0, 0 to get the job done.

I've never used a macro to announce snare. Others do. I figure people will know if the mob is unsnared :moon:

I'll also sub out some of my hotkeys for raids, for example i'll make /tar hotkeys for the offtanks and what not and put those in 3 or 5 since i dont normally sit or invis on raids.

Is that what you had in mind?

I'll didn't waste a hotbutton for /sit annymore i switched to use ctrl+s instead of a hotkey ;)
If you do that please chage the combo ctrl+d to crtl+alt+d to avoid accidental removes from grp :)

My hotkey setting looks like:
1. Page
CH, tracking (forage)
Oaken Guard, Solstice Strike
Glacier Breath, Hand of Ro
snare, open (buffs, second sare, depends on situation)
Chlorotrope, Glitterfrost

2. Page
hotkeys to all important Spellbooksides the spellbook is organized to fit that ;)

3. Vet AA's, Bandolierbelt for Gearsetup
6. DC, Resplendent cure
7. inate cammo, mgb, Spirit of the wood
0. Call of the wild, Exodus

i hope i had not missed anything, this setup is grown since 2001 i have tried to bring it in an more organized form but i allways switched back to this setup because i trained myself to it.

1- sit/stand
2- blast heal (usually SI, i have chlorotrope, but i find i usually drain mana much faster)
3- nuke (usually something light on mana, like summer's flame (ele gloves!)
4- tracking
5- clicky item
6- innate cammo
7- radiant cure
8- chloroblast (yes, really)
9- sotg
0- wrath of the wild

Personally I think binding a spell (without additional msg or other macro functionality) to a hotkey is a waste of a hotkey since you can just cast with alt+number. Lord knows I hate hotkeyed msgs also so the number of hotkeyed spells I have is 1, for CH.

Aelfin

1 assist
2 raid assist (assigned) or forage
3 root clicky pants
4 weapon clicky
5 WoW aa
6 sotg aa
7 rc aa
8 patch heal (nature's touch. really)
9 innate camo aa
0 fast heal (chloroblast or sylvan, depends on zone/tank)

like aderel i cast most spells with alt+number. i send heal messages if there is another healer in group. exodus is also shift-0,0

is there any way to macro a weapon slot or an /alt # for epic? my guild is getting enough druids where we want to consider a druid epic chain =)

Eiram, you rock!!
I changed to CTRL +S awhile back. Not to save a hot key space but to prevent accidental sitting during raids when sitting is bad. I know when I hit CTRL+S it's intentional. I have however, had problems with the occasional disband. Never thought to remap it.

Good infos here!!

i always used to group with a cleric so we'd have heal messages and i just have always kept them for all my heals. i do have a nuke hotkeyed to 3, and again, it's just from habit. I have nothing i'd want to put in that slot now anyway, so it stays. i type all my assists by hand, archaic, i know, but typing 4 letters doesn't slow me down, i don't believe, any more than hitting a number key or an alt key combination.

aelfin, no there's no alt-activate for clickies, but you can set it in the bandolier and add that to a hotkey bank. you'd have to click/number on the epic and then on a text hotkey, though.

I have mt quick heal attached to 6 and 7, since my typing is terrible ;p

The key action which is really important, cycle through nearest NPC, is attached to the enter key on my number pad.

my hotkey for first page is

1: cold or fire debuff for nuke
2: cold or fire nuke
3: Karana's Renewal with message
4: Chlorotrope with message
5: Oaken Guard
6: Spirit of the Grove
7: Innate Camo
8: Assist
9: Resplendant Cure
0: Melee Attack (used to be something else before i had something that was a weapon)

that's weird kam, my cycle NPC hotkey is the same :P

1. sit
2. assist (tank)
3. CH
4. innate camo
5. effeciency belt
6. SoTG
7. 1.5
8. mod rod or clicky
9. assist (just /assist.. no name with it)
10. Radiant Cure

I play kinda messed up, with my right thumb on my left alt key, pinky on 6 (alt-6 is nuke), first finger on the A key (linked to hotkey #9 for blank assist), middle finger on the W key (cycle thru forward npc's), mostly always holdin down the right mouse key for mouselook.

I enjoy having F1-F6 keys, 9 spells, 10 hotkeys, and cycle targets under one hand, while movement is my left hand, the mouse.

If im runnin & gunnin, i'll stay like that, but if it's haul ass or die, i'll switch over to the generic 4 arrow keys + mouselook for straferunning.

1. /assist
2. chlorotrope with message to /group
3. CH with message to /group
4. /assist MA (this changes a lot)
5. /target MT.. i should change it really. was healer in previous guild, nuker in current one
6. root message to /g and /rs
7. 1.5
8. last inventory slot, used for mod rod
9. range slot (orb of clinging death)
0. innate camo

ALL my hotkey banks have innate camo in the last slot.

Usual fight start is clicking ` (tilde) to cycle NPC-s, 1 for /assist and 2 for fast heal on target. I use ASWD for movement and I barely use mouse at all, it stays near buff box to click off horse when needed.

For SoTW i use page 5, key 5.
For RC6 i use page 6, key 6.
Exodus is page 8, key 8.

That helps me keep these apart to not accidentally use.

I think I'm confused...

Like that's anything new or challenging?
/runs off laughing.....

Ok, I been working way too hard lately. Been trying to come up with marketing content for tennis gear (I am a website developer) and I actually thought about this one for a tennis backboard: "Play Alone And Improve Your Stroke"
uhhh I think the client would not be amused.

Btw, my hotkeys vary depending on whether I'm grouping or raiding and whether I'm playing main healer or not. But exodus hotkey is NOT on my main page anymore /sigh
