I would like to see the limitations removed from the alternate zone progression quests in PoP. I can sort of understand the need for the flagging system, however I don't think the alternate quests should be as limited as they are.

I don't understand the need for these limitations. I know people say "you need to follow the storyline" but honestly, who really pays attention to the storyline anyway?

I am flagged for PoV and PoS and I did the Grimror quest to get into CoD. but now if I want to progress past CoD I will still have to go back and kill Grummus. I put a lot of effort into finding those four #$@! larva and IMO it should count for just as much as getting the flag from Grummus.

I was thinking about doing the HoH side quest, but then I keep wondering if it's really worth the effort since I wouldn't be able to progress beyond HoH anyway.

if anyone is willing to spend countless hours progressing by doing these side quests, then I think they've paid their proverbial dues and they should be entitled to progressing through the planes like anyone else.

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone at Verant reads this I hope you consider this change as an option. I really think it would make PoP more appealing to a lot more people and it would keep them interested in PoP for a longer period of time.

Agreed, and the story-line reason is a poor excuse. There's no fantasy or real life explanation why events can only happen in one way and not another to get the same outcome. Besides the fact that if you can beat Bertox in CoD then obviously you're part of a team that could beat grummus. Conversely, if your guild can take Bertox they are not going to waste their time moving 80 people through the side quest. It's just a time sink that hurts everyone, especially new recruits.

As for HoH if you like to solo I'd say go for it, or just watch for any pieces while in PoV groups over many nights. As long as you're ooh 63+ there's places to quad spectral droping mobs that give nice exp. I've found too if you have friends in uber guilds it's one place they like to group, and a really good way to get to know more of them better.

Yes, I agree. I gotta think the alternate route of getting access must and not letting you progress has to be a bug. I can't imagine they'd purposefully design it that way. But then, there's lots of things about PoP that I think are patently wrong...

Also, the flagging quests are WAY too time consuming. They need to be scaled down to something with much less camping and less time consummng and less competition for rare drops.

Panamah, Panamah, Panamah. I am amazed that you still have rose-colored glasses on.

The limited access for the alternative quests was deliberate and purposeful, and is not a bug. It WAS designed that way. According to SOE, it was designed that way in order to make people follow the storyline if they want to advance to the deepest tiers. The alternative quests were simply a way to access the next plane for XPing and loot drops, that's it.
