Clinton seeks video game sex scene probe
Friday, July 15, 2005; Posted: 8:38 a.m. EDT (12:38 GMT)

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton pressed Thursday for a government investigation into how simulated sex cropped up in a modified version of the blockbuster criminal adventure video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."

Clinton asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate the origins of a downloadable modification that allows simulated sex in the personal computer version of one of the most popular and controversial video games in history.

"We should all be deeply disturbed that a game which now permits the simulation of lewd sexual acts in an interactive format with highly realistic graphics has fallen into the hands of young people across the country," Clinton wrote in a letter to the head of the Federal Trade Commission.

I really hope NY'ers don't reelect her after her current term is over....
...but I know they will :(

I think this is just Hillary after some conservative votes again. If you read "modified pc version" that means it was a patch like one's you can find for all other pc games like the sims that give simulated sex and nudity. Now if she really wants to probe into this she should look into a none american game that did good. Gothic 2 has a whole subchapter quest to pump the information out of a prostitute to find out whose the pimp selling drugs. That was actually in the game, no mod's. I love both games :-p

I thought this was a mod or modification by individual efforts and not the company.

yeah that's what I ment, I should have clarified that part. However, what I said about gothic 2 is non-mod since it's a portion of the game.

Boggles the mind. Her own husband had SEX plastered all over periodicals and TV for MONTHS and now she wants to play the part of a sanctimonious prude?!??!!

I hate politicians.

They are so uptight about the GTA series. It's really sad considering it really is a good game. It's not like Rockstar is trying to hide anything either, when you buy GTA you know exactly what you're getting. I bet if someone made this mod for UT2k4 nobody would care.

That's what Rockstar originally claimed. Someone used some sort of PS2 modification program (like Gameshark) and unlocked the files on the PS2. Since you can't add mods on PS2 games, this pretty much proves that these were added by Rockstart and not a modder.
