So Logitech has decided to expand upon it's keyboard line starting by supplying a "gamers" keyboard:

You can read more about it on Logitech's Site (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2166,CONTENTID=10717).

The G15 also features a switch that turns off the 'Windows' key, so hitting that button accidentally won't end your game. This alone makes it worthwhile! :p

I registered to be notified when it goes on sale. Hell, I would pre-order if the option was available.

Really nice. There's one thing I want to know before I buy it though - how well does it stand up to Coke spills?

Well, judging from the picture I'd have to say very pourly. One thing that Logitech does *not* have a grasp on, when it comes to keyboards, is the keys themselves.

Logitech keyboards have always turned me off cause they had such a "soft" keypress to them. I mean, you like get no since of "pushed" from their keys at all! It's very annoying and doesn't feel right. Over time their keys have been known, for me, to become increasingly harder to push. I had one keyboard I had to litterally smash the key just to get it to register. That's when I got extremely picky in my keyboards...

All in all, while they have the best mice on the market, they have not truely gotten a grasp of the keyboard. I mean, they don't even make any ergo keyboards anymore (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/productlist/US/EN,crid=2157&categoryid=419). :(

I want :) The UK one's not out until October though... but I think that will be a priority purchase!

Initially I was disappointed that it didn't have Mac support, but then again they're not really gaming machines. That's what the PC's for.

Looks nice, but I really like my DiNovo Keyboard.

I rarely use the numberpad, so I just keep that on the desktop and not on my keyboard tray. I like the low profile and small size.

I'm afraid to admit it, but this is the keyboard I have (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=014). I don't use the mouse cause it sucks ass, big time, but the keyboard is the best I've found. :(

Now, take close look at their keyboards, too. You notice something? NO FARKING (recent) ERGO KEYBOARDS!

the Optimus is coming... someday...2006! At least I believe that's the quoted release year. Spring/Summer I think. They said they'll be making an ergo version sometime. God I hope it's released with the normal version...

Looks nice, but I really like my DiNovo Keyboard.A Bluetooth keyboard? How that does freight? I herd there's problems with it if you're too fast of a typer. And .. It's not Ergo!

I'll have to get this one for my uncle. He's big into FPS games and would love the whole thing. I may get one but I love my keyboard to much as it is.

The Wireless Optical Desktop 5000 (what a name) is semi-ergo. I was looking at it to replace my aging keyboards, but I haven't gotten a chance to play with one in a store to see if it feels the same as a split.

You wanna talk ancient? I'm still using my Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro - the ones with the old USB 1.0 port in the back. After a few years of "oops, dropped it," my originals finally started dying, and the MS Company Store didn't stock them anymore. Luckily I found an online vendor that was selling them for $15 a piece, so I bought six of them. Four more replacements left! :P

Ha! I'm using the same keyboard Stormy. Got one when I got my brand new shiny (at the time) Microsoft Optical Explorer mouse!

I type around 120wpm, and I haven't had any problems with it keeping up with me.

Yup, around 80 wpm here and my Logitech bluetooth keyboard keeps up just fine.
Nice range on it too...when I was doing the skeleton miner part of the epic 1.5, I simply carried my keyboard with me when I went to the refrigerator to get a drink. :)

I think my father uses one of them. Not too bad of a keyboard, it was just odd typing on it due to it's placement (it was at 90 deg. to monitor due to his laptop clutter). I don't mostly cause I use a cordless now. My CPU case is just far enough where a cabled keyboard would actually be "tight" and not leave much room to fluxuate.

I did notice the "semi" ergo ones, but didn't care too much for them by appearance. They didn't look like they would be of much use.

I never liked those split design ergo keyboards. They just enver felt right. They are actually quite nice once you get use to them. They are designed to go more with the natural form of the hand; arms angled in to the keyboard unlike the original ones which requrie "straight arms" to type on correctly.
