Do you think a Druid/SK combo would work?

let's see. we need tank, healer, cc, slower, puller. SK can pull with FD and Druid can pull with harmony. Druid can do healer and cc (kinda difficult since cc generates hate and makes it difficult to concentrate on healing). SK can tank. I'm not sure if SK can slow?

If you want a partner with your druid, get a BL, they would work better than a SK. If you want a SK, a shaman is a better partner than a druid.

SK are good duo partners because they do have very good aggro spells and comparable stats with any other tank however they are somewhat lacking in dps to other classes.

Pallies are good partners because they can help heal and buff, as well as stuns to help on caster mobs and like SKs can be somewhat lacking in dps.

Beastlords are good partners because they can slow, have pet to help offtank/dps, and when geared up well can tank in any zone and buffs, downside, they are a leather class that puts a hurting on mitigation and hp/ac in gear, not knocking beastlords, just a fact that plate gear has better ac than leather.

I have also seen monk partners that are comparable to the beastlords in ac and ability to dps and can tank in a pinch. Also can help with pulls, downside, they are weaker in ac and mitigation.

Any other combos I have seen usually involve more than just 2 characters but are possible. I have seen almost any class be able to duo with a druid, however some work better than others.

Warrior duos have the good mitigation and better dps than SKs and Pallies but are limited in abilities outside of tanking, and their few aggro tricks. There are slow, snare, dot, debuff, and dd weapon procs for most if not all of these classes for any area they don't have direct abilities for. Remember all based on gear obtainable so the dps and hp/ac numbers will vary.

My 2nd box is a monk and I plvled him from scratch, his magelo is 1007876, I use him to pull on raids now, even though his gear is sub par ( I die a lot with him but it's a lot of fun lol), I can tank c2 in fire (aa's are a huge help), however with better gear I could tank bigger stuff, I'm still waitting for the AC cap to be removed that they promised, the reason I made him was cause they used to be pretty good tanks,

Atm I would say SK (they can also pull) or pallies (they can also rez) would be a better choice of 2nd box if you are looking for a tank, however monks are great dps.

Depending on your desired uses, bard can kick ass.

I 2 box a monk also and im going to agree with the person above that suggested a beastlord as a duo partner. If all you plan on doing is duoing for some easy exp, BL would be a great way to go. Heck those guys can solo easly, with a healer less down time. Any tanking class would be good also but think of it like this... Tanks have more HP/AC but cant slow. BL less HP/AC but can slow and have a nice pet. To me the slowing takes a higher standing in my ranking system. But just about any melee class can duo well with us just need to play something that you will have fun with.

I have to agree with the Druid/BL combo. That is my 2 box combo of choice (namely because they're the two funnest classes in the game IMO). I've taken on some pretty hardy named with the combo, not to mention the combo is a fantastic grinding duo when properly geared.

Not having slowing capabilities limits your options, so I wouldn't think SK would be the #1 choice.

I duo the Drake Eggs mission in DoN pretty easily two-boxing my druid with my brother's beastlord. It takes about 10-15 minutes and is easy since the druid can harmony and single pull everything in the dungeon. The same drake drops the egg you need every time. All you have to do is invis up to a safe spot near the first gate, and kill the right drake on a two-spawn of drakes a few mobs away. Loot the egg, invis back down, and kill the boss. You can also, before handing in the item to win the mission, invite friends to join your group for the faction, and ask them to give you their crystals for doing all the work. The one downside to this is that you have to have three in your group to get the mission in the first place, and, of course, the faction to get the mission as well. But I just log on my wizard for the third person to start it, then log him off again, and the beastlord had the faction to start it when I first decided to do it... Smooth sailing.

I duo'd with a ranger all my eq life, until my partner recently retired. It was a great combination, especially once he got his EC for slows.

BST/Druid is pretty good.

Necro/Druid works well also, though more in partnership and not as a 2box from my experience.
