my guild has just entered anguish, we've been in tacvi for about a month, and we've just started attempting yar'lir (3rd attempt and he's down to 30ish%).
i'm really lacking in foci, so any suggestions on good items with foci on from anguish+tacvi+don dragons would be great.

Everspring Mittens = beneficial spell haste
ask of Raining Tears off Yarlir for Dragon Frost
Sandals of Constant Change from adaption trial(I think) for the bene mana pres
Also ring of Deterrence for the bene mana pres ( Arch Magus )
Warbeads of the Magus for Detrimental mana pres
Epic 2.0 of course!!
Anguish booties for the improved heals but I prefer the trial booties and the below item...
And when ya get to Vishi, Obsidian pauldrons!!! Dragon Health for the win!!
Earring of Pain Deliverance from Tacvi for the mana clicky for those of us who've not yet beat OMM
Assistant Researches Symbol quest from Tacvi for the detrinemntal spell haste
ottled Black Dragonscale off Vishimtar for Detrimental spell haste

I went with this route (this is Anguish + and Yarlir +, plus one or two items from Tacvi)

Detrimental Extension - Hanvar Belt - Belt
Detrimental Mana Pres - Yar lir Range
Detrimental Haste - Assistant Researcher Symbol
Beneficial Mana Pres - Yar Lir back
Beneficial Haste - Everspring Gloves (coa druid gloves)
Beneficial Buff extension - Tacvi mask with Aura of Taelosia (Xxeric's)
Beneficial Range - Jelvan Earring
Fire Foci - either Vishi cloak or Keldovan Earring, for lesser use Tacvi Bracer (which i still use)
Ice Foci - Anguish Pants
Healing Foci - Everspring Boots, Qvic arms, Tacvi Ring.. later you can get Vishi shoulders
agic Foci (for dots) - Ture shield, Vishi shield.

Kess BP is also a nice option for a fire focus.
Corruption Shield has a 35% ice focus.

Detrimental Haste - Working on Assistant Researcher Symbol
Beneficial Mana Pres - Yar Lir back

Beneficial Buff extension - Tacvi mask (Xxeric's)
Range - Still use Quarm ear
Fire Foci - Keldovan Earring
Ice Foci - Tacvi range
Healing Foci - Qvic arms (saving for anguish boots)
agic Foci (for dots) - Qvic range

Some of my stuff needs upgrades but the important focus effects are there, and im working on the others

We are in Tacvi with a Yar Lir kill and Anguish looks to be about a month out for us.
I was wondering what you would suggest for the rings, face and earrings.

For rings I have it narrowed down to Ring of Persecution, Ring of Deterrence, Ring of Ire Intent and Ring of the Serpent.

For face I have it narrowed down to Mask of the Ancients, Mask of Forbidden Rites and Xxeric's Matted-Fur Mask.

Earring I have it down to Earring of Dragonkin, Accursed Earhoop of Pain, Stud of Chilling Precision, Clawed Earring of Determination and Loop of Entropic Hues.

I was also wondering if you would consider doing one of the lesser items and replacing it with 1 of the higher items later on or if any of the above items are so rare I should be looking for an alternative instead.

The route I would take would depend greatly on the loot system and where I stood in it. If you're not near the top priority, best bet is to find the best upgrades you can in tacvi since tacvi gear will carry you a decent amount of time and generally isn't the most expensive stuff (assuming a dkp system) you can get. If you are near the top of the loot list then I would say make an alternate magelo with the few really nice pieces of gear that you want (i.e. Mask of the Ancients, Accursed Earhoop of Pain, etc...).

Clickies like Xxeric's Matted-Fur Mask and Earring of Pain Deliverance, are good ones to have.
