Hey all, been browsing these boards for awhile now and finally decided to post. Mainly because i'm horribly indecisive... I have a necro main (70, 200+ aas, time/qvic+ geared) and i'm trying to decided what would be the best 2nd (and possibly third) box for me. I currently have a 67 shaman and a 66 druid but can't decide which would be better. I can alway roll a new character on either one of those two account as a third box (once i decide on the main second box) as both shaman and druid are excelent PLers up to a lower when I can group with my main. Anyways, hope to hear some constructive feedback.

Necro-druid is a great one for soloing. Necro-shaman wouldn't be a bad one either since they can do everything druids can do that complements them (regen, dots, etc...)

Hmm..I would almost want to say shaman with that set up, since as a necro you have the snares down, and can load dots and have a more powerful pet to add more dps. Druids have the better HP/Mana buff, but either class would work. Also in a group setting with the Shaman, you hit slow..then go back to the necro to add more damage, so you might actually get more chance to group with the necro if that is what you are going for.

IMO you would be best going with the shaman as a box with the necro... Unless you are a very good boxer and can use the druid for the full potential.
I hate having my 2nd account not do what it is capable of. Shaman can buff, malo, slow, dot without too much work....Druids are capable of so much more than my shaman including pulling.
Right now with my Necro I box cleric or enchanter or shaman <cleric is prolly easiest for me>. When I duo with my druid friend I will pull out the enchanter and then we can add a tank or anyone else to find something to do.
Good luck in your hunt.

True Lowerth, I box from two computers so I'm decent..however the shaman takes a bit less work to play acceptably which is good considering I'm usually very busy on the necro (necros require a lot of attention to maximize their potential) especially if i'm kiting places where there is little room for error (the nest for example). I do like the druid class though...

Actually finding that druid / pally / bard isn't bad. Pally rez, buffing, and group heal has always complimented a druid's well, that one's no surprise. But with melody and now audio triggers (oop, that sound means a missed note) the bard's songs are pretty easy to monitor as a boxer. Have hotkeys for different melodies now (a DoT one, a DS one for PL'ing, a slow one [harmony of sound then slow], a straight up combat one), I'm sure more will follow as I play around with the combo.
