The foil hats don't work! However, if you wrap up a brisket in one it works great.

The fools! The hats must be grounded to be effective!

Well of COURSE they're gonna say foil hats don't work. They don't want to share all their secrets with the world. *sheesh*

Actually, I heard they got email saying their tests were flawed, they used aluminum foil and not TIN foil.

Yea this was on /. and about a million people pointed out that there is a difference between aluminum foil and tin foil.

I reckon the government have taken the tin out of the tin foil and replaced it with less effective metals. They've taken the tin out of the aluminium foil too, which just goes to show what we're up against!

HOW TO DISABLE THE V-CHIP AND PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY

As you previously may have read, the V-chip in new TV sets is not really there to keep children from viewing adult-oriented programs. It is a spying device, and you are being watched. We promised you that a way to protect yourself from this was coming, and here it is.

Hmm... wikipedia has an entry for tinfoil hats.
I wonder if this site is real or just a parody:

The sad part of all this mirth is that the people who believe this are mentally ill, paranoid, schizophrenics and the like. However.... I had a roommate once that subscribed to a UFO magazine, I bet she would have believed it.

On the 4th of July, when the Aliens come...the mentally ill, paranoid, schizophrenics will be laughing at us.

before they fly an F/A-18 into the mothership.

A slight derail referring to Wikipedia and their listing of tin foil hats.

I must say that I'm impressed with Wikipedia. Last week, my plant faced a technical problem of a fairly specialized and obscure nature. It had to do with 'hydrates' formed in natural gas systems under high pressure. I did an internet scan and Wikipedia had a concise and accurate description. *Boggle*. Wikipedia is a quantum leap improvement over classical encyclopedias.

It is pretty amazing. I wrote some documentation myself for a Wiki we have set up at work and the way it works is totally supportive of collaborating.
