Its bad enough how much this spell costs now and how rare it is, And now rangers are getting it Verant better up the drop rate on this spell or it will skyrocket in price.

Though they did add Ultravision to Mask of the Forest.

Bah, I HATE ultravision. Makes everything look bleached out and white.

But I don't care about stalker seeing as how I have a copy sitting in my bank just waiting for me to level.

I, along with a good deal of other rangers, wish we'd get our own version of the spell, incorporated with our self-archery buff (which has see invis and ultravison already), or self-attack/hp/dmg shield buff. I'm well aware of how rare mask of the stalker is.

Believe me, we've been harping on verant a lot for our own, unique spells. What's why rangers no longer have ice and starfire, instead having ranger-only nukes on test that aren't carbon copies of your spells.

With luck, verant will help us out with the same treatment on mask of the stalker they did to starfire and ice. I mean really, the only thing rangers need is the mana regen part of the spell (right now we're the only hybrid with no mana regen). We already have at least 2-3 other ways to see invis and get ultravision (and for Tunare rangers, it's a perma effect on a helm at 55+).

I don't know why Verant are going forward with this. Mask of Hunter isn't entirely the most common spell around, and Mask of Stalker is a Druid's rarest spell. Within a month of PoP release I'm sure there will be level 65 characters around. To make MoStalker Ranger usable as well only compounds the problem.

Unfortunately Ice and Fire are vendor sold... So who cares if rangers get them? lol

Bah, I HATE ultravision. Makes everything look bleached out and white.

Agree, I hate the world is blue effect and click off acumen etc. I find vision enhancement worthless once you get a couple light source items, and in the case of ultravision, annoying.

Being a human druid, I love vision enhancement and getting self ultravision is awesome for me. Ultravision on the 65 spell buff is a good thing, in my opinion.

This spell drops like candy in ssra. We get 3 or 4 copies a week. I don't see it as being all that rare, just needs a raid group to obtain.

I'm a little discouraged that rangers might get MotS, even if it's lvl 65 for them. This is one of our best spells and considering it goes for 30k in the bazaar, it should be left to druid only. Give them mask of the hunter but not stalker. That or drop the lvl of both hunter and stalker for druids. OR, give us ranger tracking

I just felt the need to put forth this philosophical tidbit:

ALL YOUR MOTS ARE BELONG TO US.

Thank you, continue on your day.

Try getting around a zone that has zero ambient lighting with just players' light sources.

It's like exploring a vast cavern with a small torch, and then exploring the cavern with electric strip lights hanging from the ceiling. ^_^

It's an effect which most of the player-base seem to enjoy.

In addition to spells which rangers inherit from their druid parent class, they receive unique spells druids do not have - mostly to enhance their melee abilities and to manage aggro. They also have excellent class AA which dramatically increase their performance (endless quiver and archery master are simply amazing but MANY of their class AA skills are worth buying), *plus* Innate Camo, which is arguably the best druid class AA -- at the very least, one of the two best.

I really don't care which of our spells are given to rangers, as long as Verant keeps an appropriate distance in levels behind the levels at which druids get those spells. In that respect, I'd have to say it is patently wrong and unbalanced to give them a highly desired 60th level druid spell such as MotS, *even* if it was vendor sold. This isn't merely a matter of economics, but of overall game/class balance.

At 65th level, rangers should have no druid spell higher than 55th -- least of all any spells so directly related to mana and casting. That is, unless Verant intends to give us some of the higher level ranger spells and abilities... and I know the ranger community would be miffed, and justifiably so, if some of their best offensive skills suddenly became available to druids.
