Ok, I really have to recommend Mystic River. Hard to describe other than... a psychological thriller mystery... sort of.

I also saw "The Last Samuri" and I loved it, even though I really don't like whatshisface.

I tried to watch the british series "The Office" but after watching the first 10 minutes it didn't grab me at all so I decided not to bother.

I read Fear and Loathing. Forgot it was made into a movie. Not sure I want to see a naked guy barfing into his shows though...

The Green Mile
The Mayor of Casterbridge (A&E version)
Secondhand Lions (which I thought would be sappy, but really wasn't)

And at this time of year, who can forget?

A Christmas Story! (you'll shoot your eye out kid!)

One I picked up just because it sounded fun... and was. "Hitch" with Will Smith. I was pleasantly surprised.

If you like foriegn and don't mind subtitles, I highly recommend "Three Colors Trilogy: Red" The trilogy has three movies set to the colors of the French flag: Blue, White and Red. I never saw "White", but of the two I did see, "Red" and "Blue", "Red" is the best... excellent!

Gattaca. It gets closer to reality every day.

I think I liked White the most of the three colours.

I'd recommend Buffalo Soldiers if you can find a copy.

Crash - awesome movie, awesome cast... very controversial
The Jacket - adrian brody in a really weird movie, yet very interesting.
Memento - highly recommended. Gritty and intelligent
Suspect Zero - very nice serial killer movie with some weird theories.

Even if you dont see the rest... you got to see Crash. It's amazing.

Ask what? I was making recommendations, not asking for. Although, I'm glad to get them. :D

I wish Netflix would include a bag of popcorn along with the movie.
