Now most druids, myself included, only load at most two heal spells. I did not include our slow heals in the above chart so most druids will load one slow heal and one from the above. After doing this chart a few things became clear.

1. A number of our smaller heals could be loaded to allow us to conserve mana when we have to either "top off" or heal casters. Now I'm sure many druids already do this but I bet more than a few simply cannot waste a precious spell slot for other heals. I know I'm one of them LOL but perhaps when we are assigned as main healer we can fine a way to load a lower level heal to same mana. Heck, our top two heals are so close in ratio to be virtually identical.

2. In a stance mode our current #2 heal heals more than our #1 does in non-stance. Clearly (esp with added aa's and focus) in healing stance we will gain another tool for healing. If used correctly we can save 14% mana by casting our secondary semi-fast heal - this applies to normal or stance mode of course. While 14% may not seem like alot it adds up for sustained healing and since the ratio of both heals are near identical it's not like we are losing anything. On the tank you want your biggest heal but how much "wasted" healing do we experience when we are forced to use a larger heal when not needed?

3. In stance mode our #4 heal is slight better ratio-wise than our normal #1 spell! I'm sure that many will point out that we need "larger" heals but it is clear that if we are in healing stance (depending, of course, on how SOE does them LOL) we will gain far more than just a 25% boost to two heals.... we gain options and while I also would like an emergency "fast" heal at least I will gain some additional options instead of the current choice many druids face....

Do I cast a big-slow heal or a smaller but faster heal?

Comments are welcome. If you want me to add our ICH's to the chart I can as well as do a DPS chart (How I love charts LOL) if any care about what stances "can" do to our DPS.

P.S. 09/20/06 FYI The new Pure Life appears (742/3176) to be just as good as Ancient Chlorobon!

Moving this to the spell forum. Excellent work, Cassea.

I prefer using Aelfin's Calculator (lovely bit of work), shows effects of stances and actual Focus Effects I have. Much more useful than just base damage.

Nice chart. Could you be convinced to add Ancient Chlorobon to it for those who have that spell?

I have and use Aelfin's excellent chart. This "poor mans" version does not even touch upon what that chart can do. It is meant as a study aid, so to speak, to allow a common frame of reference so we can discuss potential changes and tactics.

This is why I did not add everything. The more that is added in the way of every spell, focus, AA etc... and the more we start talking about different sets of abilities.

There is also another excellent spreadsheet out there that will tell you exactly to the letter what your DPS or healing output will be.

Consider this chart a LCD - Least Common Denometer that "all" druids have access to at level 70. Since this chart was meant to compare between the differing "fast" healing spells and not the "end output" it is valid to use for discussion.

After all, any focus or AA ability you have will affect all of the above the same so while the numbers may be different, the ratio and comparison between the spells will be the same.

P.S. Now that I added Ancient Chlorobon it is no longer a LCD :)

As I posted above. This was not meant to tell use what "our" individual output will be. Aelfin's is what you want if you are looking for that. This chart will allow us to compare "between" the different spells and what a potential "stance" might add to the mix.

Sorry for the confusion.

From Cassa's table -

Chlorotrope - 691 2810 4.07 3513 5.08
Sylvan Infusion - 607 2441 4.02 3051 5.03

Wouldn't this mean then that unless you had a focii better than Improved Healing V or Mana Preservation V that Chloro would actually be more bang for your buck? Was just wondering.

cass, the comment was more for you last paragraph:

if you hit the calculate button without changing anything, you will get just the basic info... it matches the info in your table ;)

so if you don't want to calc ich and nukes yourself, you can do that and just transplant the data to your table.

same goes for stances. click the stance checkbox and go with the default settings and you'll see tables for those as well.

i've slowly been doing an analysis on druid spells using the info. i may post it at some time.
