logged on just a bit ago, to a character that is rather new, but has consumed many a mouse click for fishing, casting skill ups, tradeskills, and vanquished mobs... entered the twilight zone and found myself where i was 2 days ago... when i tried to get to sony eq to see what the whatever was going on, i get redirected to the experience norrath site.... does this count as being someone just looking for a reason to leave????

There is considerable discussion to the reason rolebacks where done, both in General and on Sony's Forums.

If this applies to you, this would be why you where rolled back.

If this does not apply to you, you need to file a petition.

re: the reasons, yes, am aware of what was happening, in my own case, not sure if it was 1 of 2 items i bought in bazaar (bat skull earring, and a sarnak necklace) or because of a ring that another player gave me while i was doing casting skillups... i did petition, and received an oh so polite brush off. no point in trying to instigate a flame on this, but, i suspect i would have a better chance of converting used toilet paper into a winning lottery ticket then in getting sony to rectify their own mistake (coding glitch that resulted in test junk being on live servers) at their expense, rather than at the expense of players that were not engaged in some alleged exploit simply because they had inadvertantly acquired some item or another that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

as it is, i am simply going through the joys of endless mouse clicks to recover lost casting skill, green farming to raise pp to acquire items that will boost skillup speed, and coming to terms that SOE really doesn't lose any sleep over losing faction with the customers that pay their wages....

i did recieve a response to the petition, basically implied that unless i had a character that lost an uber flag as a result, i was s.o.l.

if taking a dim view of their draconian measures to rectify a problem of their own creation seems to be over reacting to a simple game.... so be it

Heh, I lost an amalgamator, a grandmaster hat, my mechanoinstructions, and a Bazu Seal....only my bazu stone was left in the roll back. Not to mention the cash loot I got slaying dragons when they spawned.

SOE really doesn't lose any sleep over losing faction with the customers that pay their wages....
