So a friend and I where talking about Druid channels various guilds use during raids.

Personally, I have used / seen used Druid-Only Channels for the following:

1: Epic Click Rotations
2: Secondary KR Rotation (havn't used that in forever tho)
3: Debuff Calls
4: RT Healing Assignments
5: Discussiing the Encounter in its relation to our role.

I am sure people use their guild channels for other things, and I was jut curious what else people use them for aside from what was listed. I figure if nothing else its a good conversation topic.

We do debuff calls in /shout
We have a druid channel to call our heals there, epic click rotations, coordinate buffing / reptile / etc, OT assignments and others. That's it.

We use ours to talk about which tank we intend to let die, and the union penalties for telling non tracking classes if the mob is really up.

I've tried to use druid channels for what you're thinking Fenier, but heal spam ended up there. Heal spam needs to be seperate from class discussion or else I ignore that color.

well shrug, we spam heal to the channels and we communicate fine.

It's something I still need to adjust to, I never paid attention to heal spam until I was a healer on raids. =)

I actually agree with Juni here. There is a heal channel generally ... put your heal spam there, lol. I use the druid channel for what Fenier mentioned above, and also discussing randomness with the fellow druids. I do however hate seeing it spammed across my screen with heals in it and in the heal channel. >.<

P.S. WTH is with 6 druids on a raid and only 2 clicking thier epic on a mob?! =P

Much to my disappointment, ours is generally used as an opportunity to ignore things said in it.

Has been that way for awhile now.

Forgot to include the part where the fights duration is over 5 minutes so all Druids could indeed actually click it.

We use druid channel to organize RT healing, debuffs, who will be MGBing oak or oaking the grps with no druid if we are saving MGBs for heals. We will prolly start using it for epic clicky rotation, maybe not. Only have 4 epic 1.5 druids in guild and of those we have 2 that show up to raids on a normal basis. We have a heal channel that all cleric, druid and shammy heals are spammed to. Heal channel is also where we organize our MGB heal rotation.

I hate heal spam, it should goto a seperate channel.

Keep spam where it belongs, in the cleric channel!

Guilds that use /say to call their heals make me want to gouge my eyes out >< I'm in 2 druid only-channels mostly though, the guild druids channel where we organize the epics, sotg masses (if any), and play trivia games and generally torment each other all night. And of course, serverwide.druidsgrove.

We changed ours from cleric chat back in elemental days because I would watch cleric chan and the only heals coming across would be druids. I got fed up with clerics slacking so we moved all heals to our own chat to let the cleric officer see how slack the clerics were.

Like Nimchip said, we have druid channel in which we setup basically all druid stuff. Debuffs called to shout. CH rots in OOC, if for some reason we were ever included in one. Cleric chat channel used to help coordinate heals on OT / RTs if we need clerics helping on that. All cler/dru/necros join cler channel.

We use our channel to talk trash about clerics, we talk about things that if I mentioned it here, Bilmani would kill me.

Mainly we use our channel to coordinate buffs, epic clicks, and debuffs.

We don't do any healing spam.

Some jackarse cleric suggested about a year ago that when we quick heal a player we should tell them at the same time. Frankly I don't even think that spam heal channels are worth it, other than to see who is NPA.

Heal channels do cause spam, but not wasting mana stomping other people's heals is worth it. Why drop a fast heal on a tank that's at 50% when a CH is gonna land in .5 seconds?

Kay, I wish you could've been around while Khronicz was active... poor guy ><
