I woke up today and it hit me that I don't actually like to play EverQuest any longer. I mean, I like the people and my guild is great, etc. But I think I can walk away from it now, finally, when I want to.

I always looked on this day with some sadness attached to it, but here it's happening and I couldn't be happier.

Did any of you have a similar experience?

I too have reached that point over the past few weeks. I have spent less and less time playing, and less time really caring if I log in or not. The desire to play has been lessoned not only by the game losing its appeal but due to much more intresting things happening iRL.

I am learning that the folks in EQ unless you have a major attachment to, aren't really worth the bother of getting pissed at or wasting your time fuming over either. So, yes... I am feeling that too.

Yes, I think I am about there, too. Not really sure why. Whether it is dumb guild politics crap or mindless trash killing in demi or tob, just not much interested anymore.
