I am. :D Apparently it is genetic. Some people have a reflex to exposure to bright light that makes them sneeze. My mom tells a story how us kids always sneezed when she took us outside in a stroller. I still can make myself produce a sneeze, if I feel the sneeze-itch, by looking at a bright light.

Some people have a sneeze reaction to tweezing their eyebrows.

I'm not, but I used to work with a guy who was a sun-sneezer. And my wife sneezes when tweezing her eyebrows.

I also used to work with a different guy who sneezed every time he ate a peppermint.

Not a sun sneezer.

But I use bright light to push a stubborn sneeze over.

Physiologists don't know the reason or mechanism yet for this reflex. I can't think of one either.

The link to the podcast suggests there's a neurological miswiring that causes people to sneeze in response to various things. They mentioned that the air force won't use people he sneeze in the sun to fly fighter jets. Oh well... another career avenue lopped off for me! :D

I go into wild sneezing when taking throat drops such as Ricola.

Oh man I go crazy sneezing when going from a dark place to a really bright place, such as a basement to a sunny day with snow on the ground. Or after having my eyes dilated(sp) at the eye doctor. I've noticed that after 3 or 4 sneezes my eyes are pretty much closed, so Im guessing it's my body's way of saying it's too bright for your eyes.

I suspect the real reason for that is they have no shortage of applicants and so need something to filter people out with.

I suspect the real reason is because you don't want someone busy sneezing while flying a 50 million dollar aircraft...while someone is trying to shoot them down.

ROFL @ Aidon.

I am DEFINITELY a sun sneezer. When i was a kid i used to think I was allergic to parking lots - I did not put it together that it was actually the sun and not the parking lot.

On a side note - its definitely a good excuse for some gamers to have a pale complexion... I mean for god sakes - we're allergic to the sun!

Yeah, or while in the grips of a sneezing fit accidently hitting the button that releases a bomb. :p Oops!
