What idiot at Reuters could not tell that image was 'Shopped?

I'm sure Reuters could tell.

They just didn't care until someone caught them.

I'm frankly a bit surprised at the smoke one. I'd have expected better work if a person was going to photochop. The smoke looked like an EQ wall.

What moron photographer would mess up his career over a really bad photoshop like that though?

His? I think should be 'her'. Her other 920 photos were removed from the database as well.

It was a really stupid edit, and didn't look like it was worth it to me. I mean, if I saw pic 1 & 2 side by side (lets say for a second that pic #1 wasn't doctored) I really couldn't make the statement that one looked like a more dire situation than the other.

She was also the photographer for those staged pictures in Beirut from that site Fy'yr linked...if I'm not mistaken.

As a Photoshop user, I think I'm more upset about the fact that she got caught than about her doctoring in the first place :P

What are you saying, that is a horrible 'Shop job.

Simply horrible, how it got past any second rate copy editor at Reuters is amazing, incredulous(well I am).

It impunes all of Reuters' stuff, more than any other trash it has put out in the past. It is so blatantly obviously horribly done. Yet still made it into their stock crap.

My daughter does way, WAY better photoshop editing than that photographer. If your cat had opposable thumbs and could click a mouse(instead of eat one), IT could do a better editting job.
