I remember something a while back about a bug with the Servant - that he would run out of mana and not cast again. From what I remember, he will cast haste first to everyone around, HoT, then when his mana permits he will cast his version of Clarity.

If he was out of mana from casting other spells before he got to the clarity that might be a reason. I haven't used this AA in forever so I am not sure if this bug was ever fixed.

Im just talking about solo. Servant casts haste and no Servant's Breath. Ran myself down to 9% mana and brought up the Servant,, casted haste and nothing else..

Best thing to do in that case would be to pop Jester. Of course he's an annoying little *smurf*, yes. But!! he can (not every time but I see it often) restore you to full mana. Sure, Servent is good for HoT and various buffs. But if you want a full mana bar, go with Jester. Servent version of clarity is not better than Elixer of Clarity X bought at vendors.

You probably just got Steeloak Skin so your total buff mana regen when combined with your mask spell reached the point where the servant will not cast its breath spell, even though they all stack. What you have to do is click off your mask spell, wait until Servant's Breath is cast on you and then reapply the mask spell and you're good to go.

It's annoying, I posted the bug on the EQLive forums, the devs provided the explanation, and they're not changing it, so I've learned to live with it. :ohwell:

Cedor,

u must be correct. i just got Steeloak and i have mask. what a bummer.

Servant's Breath is better than Clarity X, because of Wisdom and Mana Pool boost.

thx for info..
