I know the new AA's are leaving many yawning, but I'm curious what others think they'll spend their first 30 AA's on assuming the beta list goes live.

42 here to spend.
Getting upgrade to GoM for sure.
Puts me at 33.
Probly as many ranks of Healing Surge as they allow you at 71. I need to see the lucy data before I commit to buying the upgrade to Resplendant early or not.
From there probly the upgrade to Mental Clairty and whatever is left toward expanding the FT cap.
Between both those two lines, we're looking at what? 11 Mana more per tick. That will help alot toward the need to enter downtime regen.
Once healing is done I plan to focus on the DPS side of things, starting with the bear and increased critical chance.

I finally get to spend the extra 25AAs from the AH refund :)

How do you save 42 AA? Or if you have 30 and get some refunded, they can be added to the 30?

30 banked + 12 refunded.

I was afraid that if I had 30 and 12 got refunded I would lose those 12 since I could not have more than 30. So I guess that is not the case then.
Thanks

What 12 are being refunded? Or is this from the AH refund?

Channeling Focus, which was annouced back in June, this just happens to be the first patch since then.

Replendent Cascade, Healing Surge, Mental Serenity, and Sleight of Hand are my top picks.

Have 32 to spend,
Spirit of the White Wolf, Gift of Radiant Mana, then all the rest in to mana regen.
Or is that wolf form outdoor only?

Looking through the AAs I think I will go with :-
Gift of Radiant Mana
Spirit of the White Wolf (may depend on how much mana is saved)
One level in each of the following :-
Volatile Mana
Mana Fury
Blood Tithe
Healing Surge
Spirit of the Ancient Grove (reflect damage rather than a ds will be nice)
A couple of levels in :-
Labyrinthine Mind
Mental Serenity
I used a similar method when DoD came out and brought the 1st level of everything I could. Unlike DoD I'll be stuck levelling for a while until I can get more AAs.

Doesnt Spirit of the White Wolf have a level 75 requirement?

I will probably get all the mana regen i can buy at lvl 71. Then move through the heals and cures. The GoM update too, depends on how many ..... i have 29 banked atm, and ill get the channeling focus also. So will have to see what level restrictions and requirements are.

25- stat upgrade to 440cap (which i hope will become 465 at 75)
5- innate mana regen
then exp all the way to 75 i think, then 100% aa again
-wolf form aa
-all mana regen aa's
-dot crit (if they leave us the dots ...)
-nuke crits
-heal crits
-everything else..
(I like dps more than healing =)

They are refunding channeling ? That would be nice especially as I managed to save the AAs from the AH refund.

Why? What was wrong with channeling?

ACK, SotAG does have a ds? boo on that. Hope that's wrong or changes or something.
And what happened to channeling focus? I liked those aa's. =/ Like Focus in EQ2, Channeling in EQ1 was always something I liked, since having spells interrupted usually leads to someone's death. Crap. But then again, that's more aa's to spend on new stuff I guess. Mixed feelings lol.

Channeling Focus is broken, it doesn't actually do anything since there is a error in the code which has existed for 4~ years that allows you to channel 100% of the time.
Rasherre wants to rework the channeling system at some point, and the AA line will be added back then.
Note, you can still be interupted by movement, stuns, bashes, etc.

Interesting. Glad we're getting our aa's back then if it's been broken. And all this time I thought I was regaining concentration because of those aa's lol. Guess I'm just better than I thought. =P Would be nice if it was reworked though in a way where we could get aa's that actually did decrease our interrupts. Oh well, more points for me for new stuff. =) I was just worried that my interrupts were going to increase, looks like it'll be the same so that's cool

I heard about getting back Channeling focus AAs, but someone also mentioned that we get back AAs from Persistant Casting as well? If we get back 12 AAs, I'll have 58 to use. Hooray! No idea what I use them on yet though...
Fenier

Pers Casting is differant then Channeling Focus.
Channeling Focus has to do with your ability to channel a spell. This is broken, and currently happens 100% of the time as is. Hence the refund.
Pers Casting only checks to see if you can continue casting though a stun.
As per the patch message pers Casting is not being refunded.

With the channeling refund I'll have 81 AAs to spend
30 banked as normal
25 from AH refund (was max'd when this happened and didn't spend them)
10 from Epic2
4 from DoN Progression
12 from channeling refund

Doesnt Spirit of the White Wolf have a level 75 requirement?
yup! and I am 99% sure I used it indoors on beta, a few of us were living in Vergalid for hours doing this quest. It's not a permanent illusion but refreshes often and you can already be in an illusion and hit this. Similar to the beastial alignment type aa's where they turn into a big kitty or whatever then revert back to normal after a minute or two.
ost of the aa's are scaled - can't buy all levels at 71. Depending on how fast you level could affect how fast you want to spend yours. I will have 44 to spend and I think I will spend a few (extra potion belt, GoM upgrade, some ft) off the bat and then just sit on a few.
on a side note, and because I completely cannot remember from Beta. We get 2 free buff slots - what levels did we get those again? 73 & 75 or 72 & 75?
Aldier

Buff slots added on at 72 and 75 regardless of buff slot aa/don progression status.

Took:
FT worn
ental clarity
Stats upgrade
Foraging
Couple of people have mentioned AH aa refunds....sorry to be dumb, but are you talking about Abundant healing ? I havent had any refunded besides channeling focus as expected.

Abundant Healing had been refunded a long time ago when it was broken but has since been "fixed" so anyone that bought it after the fix wouldn't see those AA's refunded.
Hope that makes sense.

I also got the 12 refunded, so I took:
Nuke crit chance upgrade, Nuke crit size upgrade, Healing gift upgrade, Convergence upgrade, Shield Block lvl 1... still got 11 banked, not sure what I'll buy with that. Tempted by GoRM, but I don't know that I'll be casting a pile of 71+ spells any time soon...
Feelings on these - Covergence upgrade = nice, Nuke upgrades = mehhh, druid nuke DPS is lacking, but anything is better than nothing.
LOVING the new dodge skillcap, noticing a real difference already.

Ended up getting
Gift of Radiant Mana
Shield Block 1
Resplendant Cascade 1
ental Serenity 1
Gathering of Spirits 1 (heals 2333 seems on instant cast)
Icefall Bear (Rank one hits 425)
Healing Surge Rank 1
Also of note, CoS and SoTG now go to the Short Buff bar.

The mana regen AAs are last on my list. When you're resting and getting back 400+ mana/tick it just doesn't seem worth it to spend 5AA for 1 extra point of mana regren per rank.
The AA that adds +5 to your stats (Potential of Serpent Spine?) is a must get. It also affects your resists too. That one's #1 on my list.

I tend to agree. Wish I had played with the out of combat regen befor I spen AA on any mana regen.

Of course I am a young lvl 70 so lots of aa's still to fill out.

Been thinking about this alot and reading what everyone is spending aas on. Personally I grabbed the first lvl of Healing Surge. As for the debate in mental clarity, i guess i keep thinking of our raids, and there isnt always time to sit and med. I dont want someones death on my concious so i will spend aas on that as well. Extended version of Gift of mana is also one i am grabbing. From there im saving the rest to see what i find usefull as i go, after all dont have to spend them right away.
Gift of Radiant Mana (handy)
Stat boost AA
Sheidl block lvl 1 (so the ability has a chance to trigger - only 3 AA to start)
