If you have any info regarding how you're using the new charm, or mobs that are charmable in the new zones, please share it here.

Here's my experiences so far.

I cast Serpent Vines, then Glamour, and then Charm. So far i've only had it last 1 minute. Any other suggestions as to how to get this to work a little better?

I've tried charming a basalisk in the Steppes, and it worked. I successfully charmed a wolf in Direwind that was an even con (lvl 71).

However, i've not seen what dps they are doing, because by the time i'm done casting and thorns, regen, mammoth, and savage spirit on the pet, charm has broken :) Still, even nerfed, we're talking mobs that are quadding for 4k prior to charm, so i'm guessing that they're pretty good dps even charmed.

I'd love to hear other people's results so far...

Thanks in advance,

G.

I was using almost the same method. Serpent > glamour > charm > ensnare. I was using wolves and griffons in direwind. I let them tank down to about 10% then break charm and kill both mobs. Once I got past the initial fizzle fest of the new charm, it seemed to work better. I charm killed most of the mobs for the blighted animals task, then rotted the others.

Charm never did last the full time, but I did have several that lasted the length of the fight. Since these mobs didn't summon, nor were they particularly fast, it was good practice.

I have yet to try in any other zones, but I'm sure I will get to tonight.

Do you use the ensnare before the charm or do you resnare after first charm break?

Tried this, looks like the diseased griffons are a tougher sort than the reg ones. I am going to use dieseased ones as pets.

I've been charming one, having it attack the other, then breaking charm halfway through and charming the one that my pet was attacking before. If I'm careful, this results in both mobs at about 10% and in flee mode (when separated).

My charm has held significantly better with Howl of Tashan (-50) than Glamour of Tunare (-20). I suspect ranks 2 and 3 of our new charm will actually be major upgrades for those that charm frequently.

Also note that shamans have a spell to turn mobs into animals...

Since we can only tash animals, why can't our tash be -50 also?

Also note that shamans have a spell to turn mobs into animals...What spell would that be?

Feralize, the counterpart to our Skin to Vines spell.

I like the blue wolves in Icefall Glacier, takes 3-4 casts of charm before you get one that holds more than 60 seconds. But once it holds they are handy for a good 5-6 min.

Also a suggestion, use serpent vines to ensure they are snared, but then Cast ensnare over it before charming so you have them snared for much longer.

Looked this up. Getting this spell requires a 24 person raid and that isn't happening. Is there another way to get this spell, or does anyone have an idea or alternative equal?

Emoush is doable with 2/3 groups easily. Esp with the new levels.
