Anyone seen them drop so far? I've not even heard of anyone finding one within my friends/guild, so was wondering if others have found them in any particular location?

I've seen 3 copies of Icefall Breath 2 from Icefall mammoths, the yellow con cones near the wizard port in. Seen a lot of rank 2 spells from Valdeholm (none druid, but most other classes, 74-75 spells almost exclusively), and a ton of 71-73 spells dropping from Direwind.

I haven't seen any druid spells drop, but I haven't had much time to explore higher level zones yet, except Icefall. My shammy friend got Pure Life Rk. II and was offerend 300k for it, but he kept the spell and gave it to me later. Hooray!

The same mob, although I dont remember which one, was near the wizzy port in spot tho.

Druid spells seem to drop very rarely off bears in Direwind.

Direwild Skin Rk. II (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=9873&source=Live) dropped in Icefall, got mine yesterday.

Both dropped for guildie groups and they passed them on to me, both in Direwind. One of them was off the bears, and the other was from the shroom.

Note from devs about increasing spell drop rate:

Would like to interject with a status update on what's going on amongst the team. We're in the process of smoothing out and increasing the frequency of spell drops. As you've no doubt noticed, some camps drop spells and some don't, which in and of itself is fine. (Part of exploring the expansion is uncovering where the things you want can be acquired). But even knowing where to go, the spells drop a little too infrequently and from too few camps / NPCs within the zones. This will likely be addressed in the short term with a quick fix and in the long term with a more elegant change.

I've already mentioned this before, but as it's a continued concern I want to reassure the mage community that the "summon item" spell scrolls will be tradable after our next patch. They were switched from Tier 1 (vendor purchasable) to Tier 2 (world drops), but the no_drop tag was not removed. This was not intended and will be fixed soon.

In response to the poster that pointed out that rare NPCs are not dropping spells, this is intended. The rares are already loot pinatas with plenty of incentive to kill them, and I don't like the gameplay that results when the most effective way to play involves the cherry-picking of rare mobs. Spells will trickle in from regular hunting within an area, not when you swoop in at the last second to gank #Super_Bob_the_Orc_Captain.

There have been concerns about Tier 3 drops, but they're mostly based on assumption, conjecture, and misinformation, so I'll wait until the system is more fully understood to comment.

I have the Icefall breath rank 2 and Direwild skin rank 2

Drops have been rarer than I thought. Although its nice you can buy the tier I of most everything so that is a huge plus over endless spell missions and getting runes to drop.

I did get the Blessing of the Direwild Rk. II lvl 75 upgraded new group oak yesterday so that was nice. Along with some other spells the 74/75 spells drop in Frostcrypt. Its handy to be able to MGB the tier 2 oak at raids. :wiggle:

i had mammoth str rk2 drop off of one of the birds in the canyons to the east of the zone in icefall - it seems to me that animals drop druid spells.

I had Rime Crystals rk2, and 2 copies of Adernaline Surge rk2 (also had 3 other ranger spells rk2) drop in Frostcrypt while messing around, all from the giants randomly. Had the 100/100/100 sv vs. corruption (war/shd/rog/etc) aug drop randomly as well. Couple 240ish hp/mana loots, one ear, one neck drop from mini named.

while I havent seen druid spells we did get 5 spells last night and indeed 2 mobs dropped 2 spells at the same time (all our spells dropped were lvl 73) from spiders in icefall....where as my friend had gotten 4 spells from goblins and they ranged in 71-72 spells.

so the multipile spells dropping on one mob is happening as the dev acknowledged.

Another night and another 5 spells.....2 were off one mob both cleric spells and 2 were shammy ones (our group now has a dupe to trade off for what we need) Lots of bard spells here.....no pure caster spells yet (errr wait enchanter one did drop) or druids.....clr/pally/shammy x4/brdx3/ench

exp is pretty awesome here....my friend had 15 aa's including lesson in this camp.

AA's are about 3-1 at this camp w/o lesson (my char is brand new this year and not have lesson yet)

Finally saw my first druid rk. 2 last night in Valdeholm. Got Rime Crystals rk. 2, only other spell that dropped while I was there was a chanter rk. 2 spell.

finally after seeing 40+ spells drop I got the 73 dot rk 2 and silly cure corruption.

Finally had my first Rk. II spell drop. Winter's Flame Rk. II dropped off the yellow con spiders in Icefall. Spell dropped on the 3rd or 4th kill, stayed there for 12 hours without another druid spell dropping. Did get 2 Mag, 1 Wizzie and 1 Bst spell to drop tho.

gpt the 72 ice debuff rk 2 off goblins tonight .....patttern has been goblins drop 71-71 and 73's are dropped by spiders in icefall.......seen over 50+ rk 2 from spiders.

friends saying they got 74's in valdeholm

Friend of mine got me Rk. II of Blessing of Direwild off spiders in Valdeholm.

got my copy of Direwild skin rk2 last nite (which is great since I won't be leveling to 75 any time soon)

Goblins in canyon next to spiders.......killed there so many times and was about to move to spiders when next kill dropped it.

got 2nd copy of direwild rk 2 at the burly HG.....also tenacity rk 2 (this is second copy but not in same night)

overall not bad we were there 2 hours and got 2 spells total (not seen doubles from this zone yet) I did get a 2 dropper off spiders last night (pally and rogue)

Druid spells drops seem to be a rare commodity, i find it amazing thought that when the spells drop 99 percent of the time the spells that drop are of a class that is not in the group. WTG SONy

Had an assortment of rk II spells drop in the pit in valdhome for us last run. Most notably, blessing of the direwild rk II. Very nice considering I've seen it once in the baz for 250k. There were also a few decent 215ish m/h items drop too. Nothing spectacular though.
