This is a bit ironic:
'Values' Decline As Issue In Ohio
Economic Woes Boost Democrats
Economic woes boost democrats? (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/10/AR2006101001437.html?referrer=email) I thought Republicans were the heralds and protectors of wealth and capitalism.

As a sad, yet amusing, aside...a group of socially liberal religious groups who have objected strongly to the blatant partisenship of the evangelicals in Ohio has complained to the IRS about the candidate endorsement coming from many of their pulpits. As a result, there are a few of the larger mega-churches in Ohio currently under investigation by the IRS and at high risk of losing their tax exemption status.

I heard about that a bit on NPR, didn't realize it was in Ohio though.

Religious organizations get way too many tax breaks/loopholes.
I wouldnt be opposed to scaling it back, even if it takes a few legimate non profits with it.

Scale it back?
Remove it entirely.
