Which is why we have Worms at Work (http://www.livescience.com/othernews/061012_ap_worms_atwork.html).

I used to keep worms in my garage.

I was thinking they'd probably like the shredded paper. Mine ate newspaper when I had it for them.

We have specialized recycling containers for compost material that goes to local farms. Los Angeles is so behind the times.

I would love a worm bin at work. They could keep me company. Maybe I could train them to sing. And I think of all those coffee grounds going to waste. They LOVE coffee grounds.

You won't love a compost bin at work once you smell it.

My Worm bin at home didn't smell bad. You just have to keep meat scraps out of it. It just smelled earthy.

Do mice and scorpions count? We have those around the hangar.

My Worm bin at home didn't smell bad. You just have to keep meat scraps out of it.I have one with only plant scraps, and after one week it can get nasty. It also depends on the temperature and how much moisture is in there. But it's definitely not something I'd want sitting in the cubicle next to me.

You work in a hangar? I thought you were a programmer.
