Ok, we've tested our nukes. We will now disarm them if you give us our $24,000,000. How about...NO!

Nuclear blackmail?
I say come get it.
If the US puts sanctions on North Korea then it's not surprising that the lifting of those sanctions is part of any deal. So what's the story?

One thing though, they're not agreeing to disarm for lifting of sanctions, they're agree to restart negotiations again. :p

I would gladly pay them 24 million dollars in trade for them letting us destroy their nuclear weapon and production centers, with appropriate investigative requirements to affirm we've gotten everything.
24 million would be a steal.

I agree.
Even 24 Billion would be.

24 million for weapons inspection and disarmament, yes, 24 million for restarting talks only, probably not, 24 billion for either one is too high. I would hope we have one diplomat that could haggle that down a bit.
Whatever happens we don't want radioactive things falling on South Korea. They are one of the few good allies we have. (Though there is a protesting minority that wants the US troops out of S.Korea. What they think they will do afterwards is beyond me.)

If you factor in the cost of war, 24 billion to get destruction and inspection of their nuclear capability and facilities would be cheap.
If we could remove NK as a threat, that would be a small percentage of what we spent and spend on Iraq. A small fraction, and honestly the threat from NK has always been higher than from Iraq.
And we would not have to worry about the Chinese attacking us, either.
24 Million, with an M...tiny.
It's really cheap considering it is 24 million of the Koreans own money that has been frozen by the US.

I think we should take that $24M and use it to buy a few bunker-busters :)

Short sighted.
What do you think has been holding us back since the mid 50s?
Um, China is protecting them.
You don't want to go to war with China, trust me.

You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

I doubt you will get far trying to stump forum users and computer geeks with quotes from Princess Bride. That has to be the best movie ever.

You say this like the US has done a bad thing?
Are there any evil bad people on this planet you don't like to go down on?
Is it that you like insane evil people and groups...or do you just hate the US that much that you side with anything that sides against the US?

Actually, we did pretty well in our land war over in Korea last time =P Freaking pansy ass politicians should have let MacArthur have his way...China would have been destroyed and then rebuilt in our image, like Japan was.
That was the first of what was to be many blunders made by the politicos when it came to war...we've been ****ing it all up ever since.

There's no hint of that. Get a grip.

Your every post is tainted by your antipathy for all that is good and fine and worthy of respect. The bleak darkness which seeps from your soul corrupts the very letters you spawn on the screen. After reading your posts I am forced to clean my monitor screen, purify my eyes, and bring in a priest to perform an exorcism upon my computer.
OK. Lets try that again.
It's really cheap to give the Koreans $24 million. It doesn't cost us anything as it's their own money! :).
Happy now?

I know you are merely masquerading your appreciation for all that consumes the very soul out of rightminded people behind a facade of jovial correctness.
Trying to live up to your title?

Maybe this (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061103/pl_nm/security_bush_poll_dc) explains Anka's position better.
