69 and 70 spells can now be player made. Anybody know if Serpent Vines (69) can be made player made?
And if so anybody know the combination ?

I believe the only way to get Serpent Vines is to do the DoN progression. My quick look at the spell in EQTraders and Alakazam's found no information on creating it through research.

As far as I know you can only research up to OoW, for Serpent Vines you need to complete up to Tier2 DoN progression (Calling Emoush).

To be honest I normally use Mire Thorns but it's worth getting Serpent Vines as you also get +250hp/mana for completing Tier2.

Why would you use Mire Thorns instead of Serpant Vines? Granted, Mire Thorns doesn't get resisted much, but the level difference (61 to 69) and the added penalty to a chromatic resist, and I would fall out of my chair if (yes, against a normal mob it hasn't happened yet) Serpant Vines was resisted.

Serpent Vines is better but the extra 50 mana does not feel worth it compared to how often Mire Thorns is resisted (72 resists out of the last 2671 casts=2.7%).

It's mainly a hangover from pre ooc-regen days when fast killing groups were a real mana drain and every bit of mana saved helped.

Have Serpent Vines. Works well so far, but I don't remember Mire Thorns being resisted much either.
