Can someone point me to a complete step-by-step idiot's guide to running 2 instances of EQW on one machine please?

I have 1G ram, 2.8ghz processor, etc., so I'm hoping it can be done. A recent rearranging of furniture has left me unable to 2 box (other computer is across the room :( ). After seeing the thread where the guy 6-boxed on one machine, I can surely get 2 working.

I looked at the instructions on the EQW site, but I'm missing something I guess... I just can't get it through my head how to set it up :)

Dont have to do anything special. If eqw is running fine with one instance, just run it again hehe.

If you find you get lockups or bad performance, disabling sound in one or both instances is a good trick.

I made duplicates of my EQW and Everquest directories, and run each instance of EQW out of a separate Everquest directory. I only do this when I hook a second video card and monitor up, and run one EQW on each.

I do what Willain does, but only have one video card/monitor. It works flawlessly, never had a problem.

So, make a copy of the EQ directory, and have two copies of the EQW directory. Set one EQW config to point to EQ dirA, and the other points to EQ dirB. BAM, you're all set.

One caveat, I wouldn't do this with less than 512MB RAM, and 1GB would be better. Also, a 128MB Video card will help.

PS - Oh yeah, definitely disable sound on one of them.
