Go figure, it's a security issue for Adobe, not Microsoft.
I know most of my friends in the systems side of the house are getting bombarded by calls about this so-called PDF security hole.

How the hell do you remove the Adobe plugin from Firefox? I never liked it anyway.
Tools menu -> Options -> Content tab -> File Types (Manage) -> find PDF and either remove it or change it to "Save to Disk".
Also, there's an option in Reader's preferences, under the Internet tab, to turn off browser viewing. It may only affect IE, though.
