I havent looked at the link yet (dialup) but there was an official rotk trailer floating around already... I also saw it on some tv programs... Is this the same one or is it new as in new yesterday?

I saw this for the first time last night. Awesome. But even better, I saw a preview for The Hobbitt as well. Truly awesome. Dec 19, 2006 release date for that one though, so we have some time to wait :(

Interesting. The Hobbit might actually make a very, very good movie. (Well, technically again I guess.)

The book itself is pretty unsophisticated but the plotline would more than suffice given a good cast and competant direction.

The preview for the hobbit isn't an official trailer from any movie company nor was it made by Peter Jackson. If you download any 'Hobbit' trailers they are all :bs: . I tried digging up a news article from TORn (thats www.theonering.net) that had the actual tralier made from some dude and had the story behind it, but it's late and I am sleepy.

Anyhow there is hints of plans that PJ will be doing 'The Hobbit' but at the moment that just isn't going to be happening, I am sure his hands are full with being 8 weeks out from the premier of the movie.
