Do you think Lucas Films would actually get him in. I think he's got a shot.

Aw, the poor kid. How embarassing for him. I hate the Internet sometimes.

That'd be great if they gave him a little walk on part :) The kid deserves it!

Here's a story about him: www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/int...index.html (http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/08/21/starwars.kid.ap/index.html)

One of the comments I liked was a woman who said something like "Who amoungst us hasn't done something stupid like this? Singing at the top of our lungs in the shower, etc".

Yeah, poor kid. But he was using pubic property and he left the friggin' tape where it could be found.

I'm in the "drop the lawsuit and embrace this" side of the fence - this kid and his parents are missing great, capitalist opportunties.

I was talking to my bf this weekend about this kid and about the petition; his impression was that Lucas won't give the petition the time of day.

He said that there was a petition of over 8 MILLION signatures to get Lucas to release the original Star Wars (4, 5, & 6) on DVD - not the digitally futzed with, but the original.

Reportedly, Lucas looked at the petition and even with the number of people who signed it, said, um, no.

I was thinking that too.

The DVD thing.

Does anyone know what THX stands for?

<strong>Does anyone know what THX stands for?</strong>
Supposedly nothing other than something cool. Lucas named his first film <a href="http://us.imdb.com/Title?0066434" target="top">THX 1138</a> and then decided to name the sound system after it.

Yes, but where did the title for that movie come from?

Good lord please don't put the kid in Star Wars...please no.

Episode 3 is my only hope...Episode One was lacking, Episode two was only slightly better.

<strong>Episode two was only slightly better</strong>

Episode Two had Natalie Portman doff those humongous hat contraptions of Episode One and wearing slinky, butt-cleavage-showing dresses...hawt.

And Hayden Christensen was just so cute, I just wanted to spank him!

Episode 3 is my only hope

Forelorn Hope?

They have a hell of a lot of junk to do in the next movie. Have two kids, fight another war, get burned in a plasma explosion, build an empire, expose the identity of the emperor.

Sounds more like Episode 3.1, 3.2, 3.3... etc.

Nah, only have to fight one war...the two kids can spawn as soon as 9 months after they consumate their marriage...plenty of time for Anakin to go to the darkside, loose his fight with Obi-Wan, and turn into Vader =P

Just accept the fact that Star Wars is lame, and you'll be much happier. Lucas has become nothing more than a egomaniacal Hollywood icon. He doesn't know how to write, he doesn't know how to direct, and it's become painfully obvious that he doesn't know his target audience. The only thing he does know is who to hire to make the lasers really pretty on screen.

I have to say, the only reason I have any interest in Star Wars is for nostalgia's sake. I really have been just kind of so-so on the first two episodes.

Ehm, who ever said that kid was imitating Star Wars?
aybe he was imitating a Monk in EQ!!

Just because someone said he was imitating Darth Maul doesn't mean he was. Find a stick and tell me who won't start twirling it like you were a Martial artist... I do it all the time in the gym (albeit not with the same grace this kid has)... :P

No to him in Star Wars. I'd prefer to see the backstreet boys in there before him.

Blasphemy.

haha Aidon/Araxx

I agree with whoever it was that said the new Star wars movies were lame and that Lucas lacks talent. I loved the original star wars movies when they came out when I was a kid. That's what drove me to see the first one in this series but god, that movie sucked. It was downright annoying. The writing was horrible which made the acting pretty lousy. The thing had this cold, wooden, actors-reading-a-script in front of a blue screen feel to it. Of course, when you look back at the old movies, the acting/writing in those weren't that great either, but atleast those movies were groundbreaking as far as action/fantasy movies went at the time. This movie was nothing more than a get rich quick off of marketing the old.

So, as much as I loved Star wars as a kid, the first movie ruined any illusion I had that these new movies would be just as memorable. I haven't paid to see the 2nd one yet, even on video. The 3rd will have to get RAVE reviews in order for me to break down and spend the money to see it.

"I'd prefer to see the backstreet boys in there before him"

Pfah, everyone knows N'Sync > Backstreet Boys. Put them in instead!

The last two Star Wars flicks were dreadful enough as is but I'd support having the Stars Wars Kid in episode three if they could devise a scenario where the Kid kills off Jar Jar Binks horribly with his twirling light saber staff during the movie. Jar Jar must die!

I'd put out halfassed content too if I knew I didn't have to work hard to sell millions of tickets. Sound familiar?
