Again, getting setup so whoever makes beta can provide a list if they so choose.

Last time the title of Storm Caller came from Laurelleii. Lets try to come up with a title we'd like to see.

Laurelleii

A bounce back to our defensive Nature side would probably be a great idea. I always loved that we have two sides to express.

I found the 75 title thread. It had some really good stuff in it, here are a few:

Forest Sage
Forest Sentinel
Grove Defender
Glade Sentinel -- this one was popular
Nature Guardian
Earth Guardian
Glade Guardian

Forest Sage is a nice one.
I'd love to be "Dryad Silxie"

Forest Sentinel

Think it would be cool to have an AA or innate ability based on level that goes with it though that turns you into various stages of a tree (that can MOVE). This could use existing models also and would go along with some roleplaying of your character and be unique to a druid.

Tier 1 (level 70 innate) - any of the root models as you are a baby tree (ie a briar thorn from Blightfire Moors). Other similar models in Arcstone, Roots of the Black Oak in DW, etc.

Tier 2 (level 75 innate) - any of the young tree models such as a tender of the windwillow from Goru'kar Mesa. Tree model with leaves as it's still growing.

Tier 3 (level 80 innate) - adult tree such as Wintersting the Black Oak from DW that is old and gnarled from ravages of time.

Because of our true nature as the users and abusers of animals, our great powers to destroy animals of all stripes, I think we should be something like:

Naturekiller
Exterminator
Hidecollector
Jeremiah Johnson... skin one fer me, pilgrim!

But actually my surname is often Stormdancer so I like that.

Glade reminds me of a cleaner, but I like Arbiter.

Tempest Scion, or Tempest Arbiter has a decent sound to it. That only really applies if we make progress towards the damage side I suppose. Harbinger of Storms? Hmmm.

Cleric-in-Shackles is much less sexy, but perhaps more accurate currently.

Take out the cleric part and it would be pretty sexy

Earth Wanderer would be pretty good.

Aidon
06-19-2007, 11:42 AM
The level 80 title should be Aidon.

You shall all be Aidons.

or Bitter. Either one would be acceptable.

Fenlayen

Combine the two i say.

Bitter Aidons for all !

Taxi!

No seriously I am thinking of better ones. I'm not honestly too keen on any that have been posted but I realise saying that and having none better to suggest is lame. I did have one earlier thought and then promptly forgot! Will attempt to remember asap. Arbiter just makes me think of the blasted mob in AG even though its Arbitor.

I like the more nature, pretty titles - not the arbiter, sentinel ones :/ That's just my opinion though~

I like:

Sage Dancer (I like the Sage part of a title that someone else had)
Stargazer
Traveler
Starseeker
Dryad (I do like this one too that someone else mentioned)
Grove Dancer
Forest Nymph
Forest Dweller
Forest Elder

Sanoliene

Dryad is cool

Short, to the point and doesn't favor one aspect of the Druid over another.

Naturesoul
Natures Entropy
Naturesavage (for Evocation Druids)

or then theres the following

priestbish
natures lackey

I like the Dryad one also, i also like stormcaller though =(

Noken

Thought I'd try a Thesaurus for some fun.

Hierophant comes up with profanity and refund. Warden (cant look up stormwarden) with the likes of dogcatcher, and even "the man" should have known to avoid this class all along!

But there's maybe some decent ones in the mix too:

keeper, elysium, empyrean, hedonist, adherent, tempest, fury, sylvan

Juniper
07-13-2007, 06:01 PM
Hierophant is more closely 'light bringer,' I thought...? I associate this word more with the tarot card. Fenier probably can speak more to this.

Storm's Eye
Gale Lord
Glade Lord

aster Druid
Tree Hugger - seems to work for alot of people :)

Imo anything with the word Protector just sounds to much like a tank of some type and plus Glade Protector sounds like a deodarant and or soap of some kind to me.

I vote for Glade Sentinel again...

... but I would be happy with any of the following
Growth Overseer (or anything that ties us closely with the evolution of nature)
Dryad
Forest Sentinel
Nature Wanderer
Stargazer/Starseeker (though they might need to add a spell line/aa to support it)

Alei
08-05-2007, 06:50 PM
We've got a few spells with "star" in the title. Like Starshine, Starfire and Ancient: Starfire of Ro. Then we got spells like Immolation of the Sun, Sun's Corona, etc, etc. And the sun is just a huge star, right? Plus, spells like Moonshadow and Moonfire. So, we've got quite a few spells that have to do with heavenly bodies.

But I still like Dryad and Tempest is nice too. Not a fan of long or two word titles, but whatever.

Very late of course, and not too serious (I did like the Dryad suggestion very much though), but I was thinking of:

OOM

It is short, to the point and saves typing out the obvious in /gsay or /rsay

The 80 Title is unknown, they didn't tell us what it would be.

Fenier

We didn't add new titles for level 80. Last time around, they caused more grief than good will. It's something we could add after the fact if folks really want it, but the overall impression I got during beta was that no one really cared and they were happier sticking with current titles than trying to find a new one that everyone could agree on.

From EQlive.

Just as well, just another distraction for the devs that doesn't really add anything to the game.

I actually always look foward to a new title as a reward for the level grind.

Would be really neat if at level 80 they gave us a new tab in the title window that you can choose between your class titles since level 51.
