Hey.

I understand that it's patch day but I'm getting an error where I usually wouldn't.

eqgame.exe - Unable To Locate Component

follwed by:

"This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".


Is it just because we are mid-patch? Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I'm getting this same issue on one of my boxes, the other is just fine.

I was on lunch so I went to windows update and started d/l'ing and installing everything I hadn't. Hopefully it fixes it but I won't know until after work.

Seems Sony was aware of the problem and the fix was added to the patch sometime throughout the day. Thanks!

Weird, it appears in the Everquest folder, but also appeared in several other places on my system.
