No doubt we will be seeing some new, or modified class abilities on the way soon. I hope just in time to make LDoN, well, augmented.

Melee disciplines and whatever else they will get comes to mind. The fix of monk pulling and perhaps modification of bard like pulling. Yeah some nerfs no doubt. Remember nerf now means balance later :)

Any predictions? Wishlist stuff?

I thought of a new buff that might bring balance to some, some day. Sit down now....counter-spells (wow)

I should trademark that. -cough- instancing -cough-

Druid one I will throw out:
Root and Stump - Prevents a root from landing on target, spent even if root is resisted. Maybe when already rooted it strips that particular root mass from player.

Blackthorn - Prevents damage shield from from effecting targets. (Mage for fire, druid for thorn, chanty for magic)

Monk:
Benediction - Raises a cleric or pally from the dead. Um counter spells a long CR.

Bellhala's walk- A spirit walk. Worshiper takes the form of a spirit at their own corpse, allows ability to drag one corpse to safety before manifesting as attackable. Could be a timer that ticks N hit points away per turn to limit.

Rogue:
McSniftys lucky draught/trinket - Allows for powerful magic that apparates one to their own corpse. When there it puts you in a state that allows a single perfect corpse retrieval. Could be limited to a time that ticks N hit points per turn.

[OMG - duplication of talent]

Enchanter:
Centriphicle force - Prevents a slow from landing, spent even if resisted. Maybe strips one that is on.

Ummm I will try one other.

Warrior:
Protection - Prevents flurry or whatever stuff/combo ubers get whacked with from landing on a target.

As you can see they come in all degrees of power, and to my knowledge would not corrupt the resistance debuff spells/ability all that much. I may have over indulged a bit with some of them, my point being they could be given to all.

That kind of brings up another point that we can discuss later.

According to the Gamespy (or whoever it was) chat with SoE the other night, no new skills will be coming with LDoN. The prefer to do any balancing as a "free" type thing versus having to buy an expansion.

I like the one where you appear as a spirit at your corpse to drag it. That would be very convenient, although SoE isn't known for making things very convenient(at least up until recently).

The warrior one would never come to pass because that would negate a lot the 'challenge' against mobs that use those skills. Flurries and such are part of the strategy set for mob AI/skills and would make them more trivial.

melee balancing will be done with update

I think its safe to assume that there will be new aa in the expansion after LDON

<[Admin]Cobby> *Sadista* EQ: Will there be more AAs introduced with LDoN?

<Hartsman-SOE> Not this time around

<[Admin]Cobby> *Polymer* Are there new disciplines for non casters coming out with LDoN?

<Rwaters-SOE> New features that cover class balance (like disciplines) are the kind of things we try not to tie to expansions. We definitely feel that disciplines need some updates and improvements, and it's something we'll be doing as a free live update instead of expecting you to buy a box to balance your class.
