WTF did you lock that for, Fen? That was total BS.

WTF did you lock that for, Fen? That was total BS.

The discussion did devolve into a 'you can not post here' argument.
And the Sony moderators did back him up on his call to lock the thread.

It could possibly have been solved with slightly more tact, but the tone of the discussion was already rather confrontational so I am not sure how well an official warning would have received.

So, no. I prefer not to start another round of that discussion or the Fenier bashing on -this- board.

Ain't that special.

I am pretty sure I explained this well enough on the eqlive forum, but I'll quote here anyway.

This is the Druid class sub-forum of EQlive.

Everyone here is still expected to follow EQlive rules. Just because this forum gets less moderation from Zat and the HHs does not make it ok to start personal attacks on other posters.

While I am aware some of you don't like it, non-druid posters will post here and will reply. They have every right to do so, they are not breaking any rules by replying.

I am going to continue to lock threads which degrade into flaming. There is a difference between debate and flaming. Debate is discussion of facts, flaming typically involves calling other people trolls.

If you have a problem with any of my calls, you may PM Zat.

EQlives rules are:

You may not post any material that:

• Attacks or insults others on the board. Feel free to debate the idea, but do not turn your disagreement into an attack upon the poster, or any person or group.
• Engages in name-calling, harassment, or threats. See above.
• Contains obscenity, vulgarity, or profanity. Though we do have a filter in place to catch the unintentional obscenity from time to time, this is not a license to abuse it. Bypassing the obscenity filter by using letter and number combinations to have the obscene or inappropriate word show up is unacceptable as well.
• Disparages any religion, race, nation, gender, or sexual orientation.
• Is considered inappropriate for children 13 and under as governed by general standards of decency in the United States.
• Infringes on anyone's privacy rights.
• Is off-topic for the forum.

The post in question had multiple instances of the underlined portion by people whom I've previously warned about such behavior. I am going to continue locking threads which devolve into insults and refer them to the EQ moderation team for their review.

Any and all complaints about that can be sent directly to Zatozia.

i am trying real hard to find an attack or an insult.

i see some other classes coming in and trying to stir up some **** and i see some fairly restrained responses back to them.

then i see you suddenly lock the thread.

am i missing something? did someone edit something out?

i am trying real hard to find an attack or an insult.

I saw plenty. They could've been far worse, but that thread was going nowhere fast.

I find it amusing that so many threads in the druid class board that end up getting derailed and turning to flames consistently involve Waring.

Just a coincidence, I'm certain.

Clearly, there were not enough correspondents from other classes chimed in on the thread yet.
Druid boards have always seemed to be mighty popular with other classes, go figure.

The devs don't read the class forums. Anything posted in there has absolutely no impact on anything.

Actually the unlinking of SotW from CoS and the AA cost reduction were carried out on the Druid forum of EQlive by having discussions with Nodyin.

Prathun also spoke there about Nature's Blazing Wrath and Fernspur changes.

I said they don't read them. They go in there and contribute when they have something to say.

When the mods see something class related in the general forums, they throw them in the class forums - forever dooming them to oblivion.

Some devs will read threads in the class section if you ask them to. Unfortunately there is rarely anything there that is actually worth reading. Most threads are ruined by a small number of frequent posters that insist on flinging poo at eachother.
