In today's patch notes

- All three ranks of the level 78 Magician and Druid anti-summoned spell Annihilate the Aberrant are now available.

Just posting this has a heads up, and a place to post where it is found whenever it is.

Annihilate the Aberrant:

Rk. I vendor-bought (should be on the Fortress spell vendor since it's a 78 spell), Rk. II rare world drops, Rk. III rune turn-ins.

Whats special about this nuke?

if its similar to the previous ones its lower mana cost/damage ratio, -100 MR check so no debuff needed its very hard to resist, and it can proc a very nasty 32k DD (2% chance). maybe the spell changed tho with the upgrade the numbers might be different but this is the basic idea

Personally would stick with the no fizzle unnatural rk. II over the rk. I vendor aberrant... that rk. II aberrant upgrade is SICK though.

The % are still the same but no idea if the 32k has been bumped up. Someone let us know when you find out.

Just bought this and was testing it out on the steamworks in fortress mechanotus and i got a proc for 32k. seems its the same as the old one.

Seems like the only difference is the increase of the normal DD ..... fine with me really since it doesnt always proc

I just like it for the -100 resist, low mana cost, and that it hits a huge amount of the mobs in SoF *nods*

Only had one 32k nuke so far. With Normal DD over 8k and 32k not bad.

Getting the link/spellID to this effect comes from the base2_3 attribute of the annihilate the xyz spell line data.

Base2_2 holds the spellID for the resist debuff (which looks awesome, but will be overwritten by Malo so generally only when a sham/mag isn't around): http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spellraw.html?id=11937&source=Live

Where is rank 2 found?

I picked up a copy of Aberrant Rk2 in bazaar for a whopping 1900pp.
I couldn't get to the trader fast enough. After I bought it, I inquired where it dropped. The person informed me the spell dropped in SHIP.

found my rk2 in the courtyard of Beza or Zeka, can't remember which sadly. haven't pulled a 32k nuke yet, but get 4k'ers constantly - need more AA's for crits.

I hate to say this out loud because then even more people will be taking my gators but I got one there a few days ago.
