This is the biggest fallacy of science. Ask any high end physicist if his/her inability to measure something means that the something doesn't exist.

It was not terribly long ago that science did not have the ability to measure electricity, magnetism, radiation etc. To deny something's existance simply because one does not currently have the ability to measure it is very narrow minded science.

That being said, hey, if it works because it restores the earth's energy lines, or if it works because people slow down to look at the stones, or if it works because it attracts aliens who secretly take over the minds of the drivers for that stretch of roadway, who cares? Traffic accidents/fatalities are decreased, and that's a good thing.

I found the sidebar story about the guy who dressed up in a gorilla suit to steal bananas from a store more interesting.
