Silly Brits. My grandmother is 100% scottish, born there and everything... I crack up whenever she speaks. She's been here almost 40 years and still has the accent. She even says "bloody" as an adjective when describing something when she's excited. She's the epitome of the "Everything Scottish" skit that Mike Meyers used to do on Saturday Night Live.

Hehehe, I earned the moniker because I am a PADI Assistant Dive Instructor (among other things) and while I was stationed in Okinawa I divided my time between going to college full time, working in the US Navy, Hashing and teaching Dive classes. No kidding. I'm feeling over the hill at 31. Luckily for me I'm just barely over the average age of people in my guild (I'd dread being the target of 'old-man' jokes).

That's what I like about this game-the diversity of ages and such. You don't "really" know who anyone is, unless they tell you...and even then you don't know for sure. Someone you meet, acting like your typical 8 year old could actually be 60...and vise versa :) I love that! *laughs* It proves to me how wrong some of our stereotypes are. Most of the folk in my guild are average-age, I think...mid-twenties on up to 50's, maybe older, hard to say...and most of my closest friends are in their 30's and up. So, you never know now, do ya? *laughs*

Yup...our guild was formed to be a 'mature' guild (not mature as in age, but as in attitude), so we have a age range a little higher than the norm for a guild (average age was about 30 last time we did a survey within the guild).

As usual though, when we did ask about peoples ages, some surprises definitely popped up. Our youngest member (at 14) was one of the most mature players (and was one of the few consistent RPers). Hehe, it did explain why he had to consistently leave early on weekday nights though ('Bedtime!!!'). On the other hand, one of our older members had a bit o' a temper and something of a lack of a sense of proportion, and I had mentally pegged them at late teens, early twenties tops. Ooops.

Definitely teaches something about judging books by their covers though =).

It's all about who you grow up with. My bro is 24 and my sister is 22, half the people I meet and positive I must be atleast late teens or early twenties but im really just about to turn 15 myself :) And also I'd post a pic but #1 - I have no clue how to (could prolly find out but im too lazy.. you're talkin to soemone who wakes up at 3 and has ice cream for breakfast) and #2 no rescent pics, I have one of me about a year ago but my hair is kinda long and i look like a moron :)

Okay. Eyes I can understand. I've heard nice things about my eyes before, but I think the funniest was simply "Oh! You have colored eyes!" Another time someone asked if I thought my children would have my eyes, and I suggested that if they did they would have to return them as quickly as possible.

All kidding aside, I can definately understand it if you say it is the eyes. What more could you ask for from the windows to the soul? I can't think of very many things more touching or romantic than a simple look from another person. I guess the eyes have it.

I'll still stick to my wide eyed wonder at being drooled over though. It just isn't something I can or will get used to.

Heh. Until about 5 months ago before I interviewed for my current job, my hair was WAY down to about my mid back. heh.

My general mode of operation is to get a haircut...get a job and not cut it agian. My last job lasted 3 years.

I have been too bisy in the fast month to play EQ :(, I am in school now full time and going for my new belt in Kuk Sool won. Its thi new to me style of martial arts I am studding 3 days a week, and on top of that I am working part time allthou it is massage therapy I can pretty much set my own times. Hehe see I told you Dea Tairro is interesting, but hmmm Bramble if you ever coem out to Phoenix az look me up :) you are nice man NICE smile :). Arizona is a bit outside my territory. I'm in Santa Cruz, CA. I'm an Ohio farmboy though. heh. And no I'm not gay or bi, I'm just a silly quiet sort of a person. *grins*

The human genome is very interesting but I don't think we'll fly because of it. We may become smarter and live much longer and no longer fear disease or age, but I doubt we could fly. Best to leave that to the birds. Being faster wouldn't be bad though.

And I posted a ton Friday because I was sitting being very bored with all my tasks at work. Finished a great deal of em anyway though.

I am still consider to go out hehe I ahvent gone yet . Oops sorry Bramble you were joking with Dea I didnt pick up on it :) hehe. I understand the thing about some people just not accepting a smile some places. I find it funny how if I was out plowing a field a couple years ago in Ohio a car would go by and the people would wave even if I didn't know them. Then I went to school in Columbus and the students would not at each other in passing. In California though you have to be careful what you do. I stepped out on my front steps and looked down one side of the street then the other, seeing nothing interesting, and as I was looking at a tree some guy says "Stop looking at my cousin homes." *shrugs* I assume his cousin was somewhere behind the tree, or he was just insane.

I know what you mean about flying. I really don't like getting on a plane, but it isn't quite so bad as what you describe. I know some people that have to be medicated to go on a plane though.

Never got to make #1, but hell #3 out of 150+ is good enough for me.

Now that I live in Jersey...it's simply amazing what the folks from the NYC metro Area think of Ohio.

They literally think it's a big cornfield with houses every couple miles, where people marry their sisters and it's socially acceptable. Frankly that's West Virginia, but I digress. I lived in Ohio for 28 years...it's actually a pretty good place to be. You think 77 gets traffic bob? Heh, I was in a 10 mile jam up on 80 this morning on my way in. That's nothing all that unusual...happens prolly once a week.

The biggest difference between Ohio and Jersey...no self service gas. That's right...the only state in the union where you legally aren't allowed to pump your own damn gas....so you gotta wait for the minimum wage schmuck to get off his ass.

Also...I can't recall ever having a bear go thru my trash when I was in Ohio. At my house...the bears visit pretty frequently. One time last year I walked into the kitchen and looked out the screen door to our deck. The bear was 5 feet away looking at me. He was pissed off that I had interrupted his shopping trip into the crap on the deck.(left overs from a party we'd had). Very cool to see a wild bear at that range...uncool that only a thin wood screen door was between us hehe.


Oh, and Kytelae...I'm not exactly a baby..heh. I'm 32 :)

Whoever said something like "why don't more guys have long hair".../rude! hehe. Genetics suck, although I didn't get any dates until I started losing my hair at 16. I had some bad hair. If I remember, I'll scan some pix from when I was a longhaired teenager. I think I even have one with a KISS t-shirt, back when I was in the KISS Army in the 70's, heehee.

I got really bad acne at 16, I went from the normal teenage acne to the really nasty cystic variety. My mom took me to a dermatologist, and they put me on Accutane when it was still experimental. Cleared up my acne and my hair dropped out really quickly. Nice drug. It accelerated the baldness by like 10 years. But, like I said, I started getting lots of dates. *shrug* I woulda shaved my head years earlier if I had known it would help!

Actually, I had long hair (on the sides and back of my head, heh) up until about 5 years ago. I cut it all off when I was living in Colorado. Now I've got the Arch Bob haircut. Bob, you and I don't look all that dissimilar, ya know. Who's more scared? And yeah, I probably lost weight. The only one in my house who's clean, rested and well fed is my daughter =)

Malbor, keep away from the Meadowlands security people, they'll think you're a Deadhead. And we all know how well the rent-a-cops up there get along with 'heads, don't we? About as well as Jimmy Hoffa got along with the North Jersey mob. I was up in Parsipanny this weekend, I know what you mean about those traffic jams on 80. Ouch. My friends live right off 46, man, it's crowded up in Northern NJ

And quit bashin' Jersey! I grew up there! Surrounded by farms! It's the freaking Garden State, fer Chrissakes =) Not everything looks like Newark/Port Elizabeth/Sopranos set, heh. We had cows all over my town. I used to be scared of them too, until I had a few forties in me. Then we'd go cow-tipping. I didn't think you could really knock them over, but you can. They get cranky about that.

Hmm, what else? I'll try to find some longhair pix of me, they're pretty sad. Clinging to the last vestiges of youth. I just cut my own hair last night. You know you're old when you can finish shaving your head with a rechargeable beard and mustache trimmer (fer chrissakes) before the charge fades. And trust me, the charge only holds for a few minutes.

I think the hair on my ear is now longer than the hair on my head. WTF? I'll spare you the pictures of that, but here's a close up of my head. Shield your eyes, the lab lights get a wicked shine going. I can blind stupid people at will...Them: "Excuse me, can you help me? I seem to have trouble double-clicking". Me: "Sure, stand right...over...here." Them: "Ahh! My eyes! I'll never be able to use a computer again!" Me: "Exactly."

C'mon, I know you've got grade school pictures lying around, where your dad gave you a haircut the night before picture day. At least I know I've got some of those pix lying around. As far as the reactions of people in California to Ohio, well they think of it a lot like Malbor said New Yorkers do. The only real difference is that some in California don't necessarily know what corn looks like. As far as reality, it has farms, it has cities...it's really just another state. At least you aren't so darn crowded there though.

Oh, and I think the bears may visit if you live closer to Pennsylvania. Probably a few bears over there. In the northwest part of the state you only had to worry about groundhogs and deer. Of course between those two your garden would be eatten out from under you.

We have raccoons in Ohio.

Actually my House in Jersey is probably in an area that is the antithesis of Parsippany/Newark megalopolis. It's in Highland Lakes which is the highest lived town in Jersey. My Kithen window overlooks the main lake and my back window looks up the rocky hill that rises 300 feet starting at my backyard. This area has lots of farms and local produce flows all summer. Not too much livestock is around here though...never figured out why.


I have an apt in Montclair(near parsippany) but we dont' stay there anymore...too damn many people for my tastes.

As for bad pictures...heh. No one would recognize me in my old ones. I look like a completely different person than I was 15 years ago. I also was fatter than I am now. I prolly topped out at 235 at one point 3 or so years ago. I'm a 'stocky' 6'1" so I wasn't that fat...I'm now about 205...If I could lose a 10 more I'd be perfect.


I'll have to see if i have any photos from my bloated days. That'd be good for a laugh. hehe.
