Is there an alternate way to get the patches? I have been trying to get the patched files from the september patches but no luck so far. =/

Did you try a "Complete File Check" from the options menu on the patcher?

thats the problem, the patch server is blocked and the only way to get patches apparently is to get them from another player.. it dosent even make the connection so i cant get into the patcher

That's really your only option - if you've got a firewall or router that's blocking the ports, your only other option is to get the updated files from a player. VI doesn't supply a secondary download location.
