The new compass is nice, but kinda hard to see.

I just threw this together and plan on trying a texture one soon.

You can download it here

Edit: I went back and changed the green to something a bit more subdued. I'm not sure about leaving the leaves around the compass headings....

Hehe, looks like a little football field. I like it anyway, much easier to read.

Ok HELP. ;)

My compas is NOT working. I made teh required changes to EQUI.xml and EQ_Animations.xml. But I don't see the texture. I just have the little window but no compas on it.

I'm wondering if the problem is that my EQUI and EQ_Animations are in my custom skin directory and the texture files aren't? Anyone else having this problem?

There are two changes you have to make with the animations file. The one that has TextureInfo item = "window_pieces04.tga" which follows and identical section for pieces03. It was on line 88 or so of the animations file. And then there is the actual compass art part at the end of the file. You also need to add the new window_pieces04.tga file to your custom folder.

Got both those changes. But I don't think I added the graphics file, I'll ry that. Sorta assumed it'd read it out of the default file if I didn't have it in my custom sicne that's how it work sof hte xml files.

Hmm.. I didn't have to make any XML changes whatsoever..

I just hit CTRL-D after patching and it was there. The above texure takes the place of the 'default' texture, so no code changes were required.

Colcannon,

Do you have the download link for the Druid UI/Skin you use?

Hehe... I've combined so many :)

Do you mean the pieces for this one?

www.bippiboy.com/images/druid/ui.jpg (http://www.bippiboy.com/images/druid/ui.jpg) (made link since image is kinda big)

Spellbook and icons I found at

pub37.ezboard.com/fmaximu...=1&stop=20 (http://pub37.ezboard.com/fmaximus94788frm10.showMessageRange?topicID=74.top ic&start=1&stop=20)

The blades of grass texture for the windows are located at:

www.bippiboy.com/images/d...xtures.zip (http://www.bippiboy.com/images/druid/newtextures.zip)

I experimented with the right-click tint. I think I finally ended up with either white or grey.

If you are talking about the buff window, go here newui.technosapien.net/buffs.htm (http://newui.technosapien.net/buffs.htm) and look for Geddine's Buff Window. I also did a customized texture for it as well, but for some reason it's not working right after the patch.

While you are there, check out newui.technosapien.net/player.htm (http://newui.technosapien.net/player.htm) to get the neato HP/Mana bar with the exp added to it. Look for Remelio's Player Window

If the compass is not working with your mods it is because the "window_pieces04.tga" file needs to be removed from your mod.

The way the UI now works, only the mods you need should be in your alternate folder. Anything not in your alternate custom folder will be used from your default folder. This will allow the patcher to update the default files while leaving your customs intact.

The original "window_pieces04.tga" file is a duplicate of some of the color boxes in a different file. If you delete it from your custom folder, the compass will work again (UI will use the one in the default folder).
