Popped into fear the other day to help a pally friend do his turn in... while clearing out some mobs to make things easier on him I noticed a large portion of the apes (and I think the gator mobs had the same problem too) were giving me too high to charm msgs using cok.

I thought that was odd since the ape was light blue at 63 and I didn't remember ever getting that msg there before. So I tried CoT instead and sure enough almost every shiverback in fear I came buy was light blue but still over the cot charm limit :lol:

Was I just unlucky getting a bad streak of bugged mobs or has anyone else had this problem there or anywhere else? I know they just changed the way the shissar acts in pof ... maybe they fubered something = /

That would be unbalancing, being able to use a spell ...

.. yeah... being able to charm would... err...

well, that vermi armor is so leet, people would farm fear forever...

i've charmed apes in fear with CoK... that's really weird.

That's gotta be a bug. I know I've also had monkey pets before. Never tried the warders...

When occasion arises to go to fear I almost always try to get a shiverback pet. I recall that many of them always said too high for CoK and it would often take a few tries to find one low enough.

I don't have the PoP charm yet but I assumed none of the shivs would be too high for it:/ I'd guess that if it's saying they're all too high it'd have to be either a bug or a nerf.

On the other hand, I dimly recollect someone saying that old world planes had a charm level limit and all mobs above that limit were immune; so maybe what happened is that you just got a batch of mobs that all spawned at the high end of their level range?

No light blue mob will be too high for command of tunare, that's a bug.
If a mob is Lblue at 63, then it's level 53 or lower and is CoKable.

I agree, light blue at 63 should be charmable with CoK so was probably a bug -- not sure whether the glitch was in charming or in /con message, though. Hopefully they'll look into it ... you sent a bug report?

My guildies still keep an eye out for CT while going after the occasional shissar, and being able to have a trusty ape sidekick is the only thing that keeps me awake while we're clearing the zone. Of course, I feel bad for the poor ape when he's one of the last mobs up and people are looking at him like their next meal. :(

BTW, wonder why the rats in Hate aren't tagged as animals. They'd seem to be just as appropriate for petting as the ones in PoD. hehe

Was there last night. CoK worked fine.

Couldn't bug it... as part of some ui changes my /bug window is now a timer ... didn't want to deal with changing my abilities around again to send that in.

Don't think it was a bug with the con msg though b/c cot wouldn't work either... maybe it was a buggy set of spawns. A necro friend was having problem charming (I think the frogs) that day too *shrug*
