Just hit 61 and was wondering where the best place to solo for Ethereal Parchments was. Looked back through threads here, but didn't see much. Might have missed one though.

Your best bet for Ethereals is to get yo booty flagged for Storms/Valor then head off to Storms to solo the froglets. They should be very nice XP or AAXP at your level and do drop the odd ethereal.

But on my server, prices of ethereals are so low its almost insulting when you see one drop. Other then that just grab a group for valor or storms, and you'll get em all eventually.

If you can't get flagged for those two zones head over to Disease and look for the generian/sengian/scavian/other larvae i cant remember name of... they drop eths and will eventually get you keyed up for CoD access. Then you can solo a couple entrance mobs cuz they drop eths do.

Hopefully this helps and will keep you busy until spectral time rolls around....

Since you can probably buy your entire set of 61-62 spells for 1.5K, why bother?

Please, don't suggest killing frogs at 61, it already sucks ass to get a pet.

I found quite a few Ethereal spells in PoD over the course of a few months of charming. They weren't terribly common (1 every 6-8 hours I'd guess) but it was nice to get SOMETHING off the mobs there. That may have been before they changed the Ethereal drops, however, so I'm not sure how plentiful they are now.

At any rate, I would recommend buying them also. You can easily pay for them in an evening of tradeskill supply farming if you want to.

Rot zone in frogs in PoStorms. Average maybe 1 or 2 a day. But like he said... just buy them in bazaar they are so cheap. I practicly give them away now days.

In 30 aa's of killing frogs I've seen 1 ethereal drop. I'd recommend farming cash and buying them. They go for a mere 200pp on average on my server :)

Pusslings in PoD. Got one about every hour or so killing them, filled up my spell book and 2 friends books by the time I was 63.

I only ever got them off the harder puslings (foul puslings = easy, no summon, straight melee, never seen parchment; corrupted = sk, no summon, parchment; wretched = warrior, summon, parchment), but it's not that hard, and you can kill the named larvae to key up for CoD, where they drop fairly often off anything (and a decent group can mow things down there too, solo isn't worth it)

I usually get 1 or 2 off a clearing of the tornado cave in PoS (the summoning uncharmable frogs), and I occasionally get one off named undead in PoV (one time I actually got TWO ethereal parchments off the named lieutenant undead guy, still never seen any real loot off the named undead, but I kill them anyways since I've heard they can rarely/randomly drop nice items; did get a decent 2hs off the traglimite frog once though that I sold for 4k)

Root n DoT works well on the froggies, both Forest and Zone in.

Step 1 port to Pok
Step 2 go to the library
Step 3 find wanderer astobin
Step 4 rightclick on wander astobin and inspect his inventory
Step 5 buy all druid spells that people have sold back for 5pp each

I've gotten a ton of spells this way.

Get POV/POS flagged and get a group. You will see many drops trust me. Most people don't really need them so you can just loot it. you can get's lots of spells that way.

Been hunting with Groups in POJ Green Mile and Ethereal Parchments have been pretty good there.
